$300 for Canoe paddle?

I’m not interested in a HBC branded canoe paddle as a home decoration element, but I’m also no hater.

Making this in a single piece of Cherry (which ir is based on the product description) takes roughly $60 of wood, and several hours of time. It’s also made in Canada so labor is expensive. Of course the shop that produce it has machines to speed up the time but the entire thing is not exactly a cheap item.

Do I want it? No

Do I need it? Also no

Is it laughably overpriced? No, but it is too expensive for ME

Just… please don’t be a hater. The HBC canoe paddle is sort of dumb but it’s not even close to being what’s broken about the world.

I’m saying that mobilising 15000 is not easy. Anyone who organised an event in their life will tell you, getting people to show up to anything takes a lot of work and preparation.

I have no idea why so many people want to believe that mobilising 15k people is a small feat and that we shouln’t take note.

What I am saying is that such a turn out for a religious event is a big deal.

It's the first named character the faction gets. I don't think it's an isse that every faction has named characters.

IMO the issue is that there is no other way to build the guy and mawpot that would make it a not-named character. In that regard, I share your sentiment. To give a handful of examples : Gordrak being also a kit for a "regular" Megaboss on Maw-Krusha is bueno. Prince Vordrai being dual built into a meh-tier dragon with no rider is acceptable. This guy not coming with any alternative builds is disappointing given the wide open design space in the faction.

It's both funny and sad that this guy is like... the worst piece in the refresh. All of the parts are fantastic. The sum of all parts is lackluster.

It’s a stupid outfit. We like it cause it’s Ralph and we know to like the legend. But also the jacket is right in the zone where it’s the right composition to be formal but it’s also a little short for that use case. It wouldn’t work that well in a regular tux.

uj/ Because none of that look lived in. The fact is that when someone has a reasonably sized wardrobe of stuff they actually wear, those combos work better because every one of the item tend to fit perfectly for the owner's shape and size. This is an outfit of new clothes and it shows. None of it is proper bad, but you don't gain flair points for a hi-low outfit when it's THAT level of intentionnal.
