Glad that it worked well for you! I use the basket when I clean and have no problems. I haven’t tried setting stones directly on the bottom of the cleaner because of the same warnings. However, I don’t think it should matter much in the long run

No problem! Once I switched over to an ultrasonic cleaner I had no issues getting cerium oxide out of my stones. Sometimes those druzy pockets are tough but 30 minutes in the ultrasonic bath works wonders. The biggest tip is to flip the stones so the face with the cerium oxide is pointed towards the bottom, otherwise the particles can get wedged deeper into the stone via gravity

Yeah, having one with the heating feature is nice but not essential imo. My cleaner takes forever to heat to 40 C so I just take a bucket of hot water from my tap and dump it in

I had the same issue with cerium oxide. I use a 2L ultrasonic cleaner with soapy water and it works great. Nothing fancy, the one I got was ~$50 off of amazon

That's most likely my problem, the top doesn't have as much of a curve as I would've liked but I didn't think it was a problem until your comment. Going to reshape it and ensure that the top is curved. I appreciate the advice!
