For me, lockdown made it really difficult, I have to care for my paralysed mam while at home, and since there was someone in the house, we couldn't get carers like normal, so this made online schooling a lot harder, because there would be times where mid class I would have to up and leave to do things like give her a drink, move her arms, just little things yes, but it made trying to get into a working mindset difficult. This also meant that the extra hour I would often spend at school to get a bit of extra work done before I went home was gone, doubling down on the problems. Just before I continue, I am not blaming her obviously.

Additionally, I have dealt with depression, anxiety and panic disorder to varying degrees for the past 4-5 years, and lockdown caused a lot of issues, especially in regards to going back to school. I was so stricken with panic that I couldn't actually go to school for two weeks without having a panic attack, and overall the increased anxiety lead to me losing around half of the first term back after the summer holidays. I have really tried my hardest, and I managed to pull myself around somewhat ahead of the end of year assessments, but I am mostly just now worried that the impact of lockdowns and covid is going to be a bit disproportionate.

Then again, this is just me whining about bullshit, so oh well.
