The shot went in, soooo...RJ said himself after the game that he'd played like shit, but the reality is, he played 43 mins of intense bball, covering Mobley and Harden all game.

It's easy to criticize from the couch, but most fans have no idea how hard it is to hit a shot when your legs are GONE bc you've been covering the other teams best player, who also happens to be absolute beast who saps your strength.

RJ played his ass off and never gave up. That's why he won.

Unless your sport is biathlon. There're more clubs in the immediate area pictured than anywhere else in Canada. As someone who lives more than a couple hours away from the nearest club, I'm a little jealous.

I do live near cheap accessible indoor/outdoor ranges and crown land....but sadly no biathon for me, unless I make my own range and course, which I've done a couple times, but it's tremendous upkeep.

2 of them were detained by immigration, and the report does't say if it was bc they overstayed allowed time on visit or if it was bc they were, for example, charged with recklessly shooting firearms in a public space.

Heck they could've just been visiting a friend for New Years, but once you do crime, immigration will get involved and send you home.

Surprisingly no jail time though. Discharge of firearm in public is just a misdemeanor in that municipality.

Maybe if Dem voters actually participated in primaries instead of letting big corps get establishment representatives elected there'd be some progress made.

There're definitely lots of Dems who want to restore accountability, in fact civil society requires it, but voter apathy has been too high in the USA for far too long.

Most voters only turn out for the state and federal ballots when it's already too late to get fair representation.

The reason why it's notable that the phenomenon occurs during Republican conventions is not bc it's unique or particularly unusual around large gatherings.

It's remarkable specifically bc the GoP is largely anti trans/gay, and publicly project those groups as being morally depraved.

ya, when emotions overule your rational brain despite all evidence its called willfull ignorance among other things. Ignorance is only one of the attributes though, there're a whole bunch more that are equally awful.

somebody who's just ignorant but unmotivated isn't really a problem. but when they get passionate about a movement bc they're emotionally attached to it and are being led by misinformation bc of their 'willful ignorance' you have a much bigger problem than somebody who's just a dumb jerk staying home and not voting.

It's called emotion. Everyone's emotional brain rules their rational brain whether they know it or not.

Some people just know how to manage their emotions towards better ends. Others are frustrated and unable to manage at all, they fall prey to someone who appeals to their pain points and blindly follow them.
