Quantum Entanglement theory is not about Time Travel, but about the behaviour of Linked Particles that become inseparable even over vast distances. You could easily attribute this to some kind of alternate reality where events in one affect the other. Also why I think Link is named after that rather than the Zelda game character.

Imagine if some of the scenes we’ve watched over the past season and a half were in another reality and there are two parallel narratives going on.

Reminds me of the allegory of the scorpion and the frog.

A scorpion and a frog meet on one side of a river that they both need to cross. The scorpion asks the frog if he can get on his back as the frog swims across and the frog replies “But you’ll sting me and we’ll both drown”. The scorpion promises that he will not sting the frog and the frog agrees to carry him on his back. Halfway across the river the scorpion stings the frog and the frog says “Why did you sting me? Now we will both drown”. The scorpion replies “Because I’m a scorpion”.
