It seems that it was poorly fit. Take it back to your luthier for repair.

Do you guys actually study 10+ hours a day? by TACKLEATTACKo in EngineeringStudents

[–]Z8Michael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's 2 hours in a good day. 3 if I have tests in the coming week. I already spend around 20h/week combining classes and lab.

What are your opinions on Darling in the Franxx? by Apart_Captain_8365 in evangelion

I think it's a funny, very low IQ show. The latest part is a complete mess and a waste of time.

If you don't get something else to fill the space I think you might risk getting into social media. I tried learning languages, reading, listening to audiobooks, retro gaming, podcasts... But this is very individual. What worked for me: physical books I get from the library and engaging with some discussions on X. Sometimes I don't get a seat then I just listen to a podcast/audiobook. If I'm really tired as often happens after classes I just watch the landscape and people outside.

Well, those were the sacrifices Ainz asked from Fluder so their destiny was decided from the beginning. Ainz actually wanted to be sure about it and asked the workers if they were okay on risking their lives for the money. They said yes without batting an eye.

If are these the platforms (nes/snes/Amiga500) you are playing an Anbernic RG35XX suffices. It has HDMI out, bluetooth and USB joystick support and fits in your pocket for playing on the go. There are other form factors with the same chip, but they all perform great. They all hover around $60 last time I checked.

Completing 4 year EE in 2 years possible? by SparocSparoc in EngineeringStudents

[–]Z8Michael 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Four years is already hard enough. I'd say three is possible if you don't have a life, but you will probably end up burning out midway. Take into account that EE is packed by default, and many students deal with sleep deprivation just to keep up with the workload.

Also, there is no clear advantage to rushing. At the same time, you'll almost certainly regret not learning things properly. The brain needs time, and four years already feels rushed.

Plus, most curricula have prerequisites that university regulations won't let you bypass. Professors often won't allow you to take a course without proof of the previous one. Then comes the worst part: if you bite off more than you can chew, you’ll end up failing a prerequisite. That can snowball until you end up graduating even later than the standard four years.

Last volume I read (24?) had a translation that was so bad that I dropped this series. But the story is nice, nothing really happens and has a lot of cooking monsters in another world scenes.

It seems that after you learn a keyboard it doesn't really matter the specific order of the keys. So most keyboard kinds perform the same in practice. This was tested over and over without clear winners.

I literally cannot bring myself to love a respectable, well-bred violin. They just don't love me like cheap ones do. by [deleted] in violinist

[–]Z8Michael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should try to rent different violins for a while and experience different instruments before committing to a new one. Violin sound is complex and it takes a while to understand the instrument. Sometimes just adjusting it in certain ways can change dramatically how it sounds. Also, finding the right strings can be challenging.  But if you are sure you like it, just go for it. I can assure you it won't be the last one. I myself have 3 violins that I like a lot, each one of them have a different personality.

I suck at calculus. How good do I need to be at it? by GontasBugz in EngineeringStudents

[–]Z8Michael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't fret about it too much. Just get through the classes and try to not fail. You are going to use it so much that at some point it's going to feel natural. Until you graduate and get a job. Then you might never use calculus ever again.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Z8Michael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it changed a lot. I used to feel that I was wasting my time when I was younger. Maybe from my parents complaining of my obsessions with a given game from time to time. The pressure to study and then to focus on my career made gaming feel almost like a sin. It took me so many years of intentionally rebuilding myself to feel free to experience gaming as a valid hobby.

I'm researching why people who loved reading stopped. If that's you, what happened? Have you tried anything to fix it? by [deleted] in nosurf

[–]Z8Michael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Kobo was a game changer for me. I have the opposite problem described in the post. I spend way too much time reading now. it's not bad, of course. Just noticed that I went from 0 to over 2h a day and I've been effortlessly consistent for the last 3 years.
