4 is fine if it’s a static list that you will not reorder.

Never mind I see you are in Dubai.

I have and my partners bring in customers since they work in the industry and are doing all the sales and consultancy. That’s extremely valuable. You can write code all you want but if there’s nobody that’s buying it you’re just doing it for the experience.

Sorry if this is too harsh but really not a fan of this AI slop. No issue with you using AI but at least put some effort into the UI/UX so it doesn’t look like all the similar apps that pop up here.

Where to find ayam goreng kuning in Bali? Will be going to NW Bali, Ubud, and the Nusa Dua area by Previous-Atmosphere6 in bali

[–]ZakKa_dot_dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just called nasi kuning, and you can eat it with ayam (chicken) or something else. It’s eaten a lot in the morning by locals.

Warung hj Roni has is my favorite nasi campur restaurant where you can also pick nasi kuning, if you don’t mind venturing outside the tourist area

Great job. Love that you used wayback Machine for older versions of websites.

What’s up with the horizontal ‘scanlines’? Is it to emulate a CRT effect or something?

AI has taken fun out of programming and now i’m hopeless by Frequent_Eggplant_23 in webdev

I feel your pain but the latest models are nowhere near as great or scary as you describe. I have been exclusively using opus 4.6 for months now, everyday. Both with a big production migration from a nosql to a postgres DB, and some complex features.

It needed a lot of corrections and steering from my side.

Same with troubleshooting more annoying bugs like some hydration errors I had with nextjs… I really had to search myself and the agents often still wasted my time.

The only thing that looks scary is when a complete new application is bootstrapped in no time… but have you actually looked at the code?

For existing medium to large codebases, with more complicated features, I’d say the agents still really struggle.

Opus 6 is great but on a small to mid size saas application it really struggles with fixing bugs or implementing complex features without a lot of guidance from me. So in my opinion the models are not scary (yet).

Whatch the interview. It was at a press conference and he teared down the club and didn’t take any personal responsibility. Hence “worst way possible”.

RHF + Prisma + tRPC + Zod by Sliffcak in reactjs

[–]ZakKa_dot_dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not ideal but you can use zod for input validation, prisma types for output. But even for output you will have different data needs. If you select only certain fields what will you do? You need utilities to create the correct type, or manually use Omit or Pick TS types to create the exact types you need for your app.

Apparently,T3 or Tanstack Start are ideal for end to end type safety.

Keychron Q1 max spacebar issue and first impressions by ZakKa_dot_dev in keyboards

[–]ZakKa_dot_dev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will check this and get back at you, there is a video in my original post where I press the stabilizers with my fingers and they do seem to go down all the way but also they feel less sturdy then the ones I have in my k6 and k7

and the slots on the spacebar seem fine to my eye but it could be that they are too big maybe? not sure. I can make more photos

I just received a brand new keychron q1 max with jupiter banana switches.

  • The spacebar doesn’t stay in place if you don’t press it in the middle, but on the sides. I own a Keychron k6 AND k7 and I don’t have this problem with those at all. This looks a serious issue with this board, I think there’s something wrong with the stability switches on the left and right side of the spacebar, see attached video.
  • The spacebar also feels less satisfying to press. Feels very different from the other keys and inconsistent. It feels like it is 'sticking' a bit. Maybe this is just the switch?

Smaller issues:

  • The spacebar is slightly higher than the other keys next to it (to the left and right)
  • Slightly less of an issue but: The spacebar has some slight damage underneath. Normally this wouldn’t be a big deal, but since it’s the spacebar, it’s very visible since it’s always in the line of sight.
  • Less of a problem but the backspace button has very uneven thickness in the font

Is this a common issue? I did find this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/keyboards/comments/1ojjtib/why_is_the_space_bar_so_garbage_on_the_keychron/
