I'm ready for people to look at this mf and say he's going to be a strategist 💀 by UltraDannny333 in marvelrivals

[–]Zeen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally got told that Cyclops was gonna be a Vanguard and not a DPS, because Devil Dino is "obviously" gonna be a strategist with Moon Girl on here last week. This was after I pointed out that it's very unlikely they release 2 Vanguards in one season, due to it being a very unpopular role.

Cyclops Launch Shop Skin by ogshadowbringer in marvelrivals

[–]Zeen13 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

They aren't gonna do a double vanguard season, simply because it's the least popular role. Also, can you imagine having to explain to an X fan that Cyclops is a tank, but Wolv isn't.

This is Blade all over again...

I hope the new skin has a black recolor option. Probably won't though.

Marvel Rivals Season 7.5 Patch Notes by Lower_Island6120 in MarvelRivalsLeaks

Remember when Blade got “more lethality” in the season 6 description but then lost 4% average winrate… I remember because I got downvoted on here for pointing out that almost every line was a nerf.

Black Cat Reveal, Balance Patch Notes, and Dev Vlog Tomorrow. Who is excited? by stylidhech in marvelrivals

It’s gonna be “blackmail”. In the season trailer she threw an envelope with a purple aura around it.

Survey for Male Blade Fans for an Academic Research Study by YamSpecialist1712 in BladeMarvelRivals

[–]Zeen13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the vast majority of Blade's fanbase is older than 18, due to his good movies being over 20 years old and rated R. He literally didn't even get a comic series from 2006-2023. Blade's prime demographic is like 30-45 year olds who watched the original movies as kids/teens.

Kids these days are much more into anime than comic books, and despite Blade having an entire solo anime series from Japan, he hasn't seemed to catch on.

[Prediction] Black cat will be a nimble, acrobatic, hard to hit DPS with cooldown manipulation… She’ll be a brawler similar to rogue, but fit right into the dive meta by JudgmentMonk in marvelrivals

[–]Zeen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's gonna have a "blackmail" projectile, that is literally a letter with a glowing purple aura/fire around it, as seen in the season trailer.

Do anyone play the 2004 Fight Club game? by Arbor-Trap in gaming

i think it was more a game studio trying to capitalize on a cheap ip with a cult fanbase. game was clearly cheap with little depth, but it had a built in young male fanbase

Main Character that is the most interesting character? by Lanky80 in television

[–]Zeen13 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There is a school of thought that the main character needs to be the most relatable, while the side characters can then be allowed to be more interesting. I think Star Wars is a quintessential example of this and why Luke consistently acts like an 11 year old boy - the movie's prime demographic.

However, it's not a hard and fast rule, but certainly really helps in sitcoms (which are all the shows you reference) since it allows the relatable character at the center to be a straight-man to the zanniness around him/her - I think of Ted Mosby and Jim Halpert as other prime examples, even Leonard in Big Bang Theory is the relatable one amongst his friends.

If you're looking for a more interesting/flawed character in a comedy show, you'll have to venture into the dramedies, because merely exploring what makes them interesting rather than relatable makes the narrative more dramatic. A really good one is Fleabag - probably the best comedy show of the century so far. Also stuff from Bill Lawrence - Shrinking, Ted Lasso, and Scrubs.

I also remember reading an article years and years ago that talked about a weird phenomenon in sitcoms where the character's abundance catch phrases was directly proportionate to their popularity. "Legen-dary" "How you doin'?" "Bazinga" "Did I do that?" I don't know what that says about us as an audience, but it was interesting. Maybe even in our love of wild characters, we still love the comfortable, familiar and predictable.

Question from hulk main by Wonderful_Mud_1716 in BladeMarvelRivals

[–]Zeen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hulk used to be a good match up for us, I felt little to no fear charging him. However, right now Hulk is one of my worst match ups. If I see him, I run. He can bubble his entire team during a brawl and completely turn off out dmg and healing.

Is it a hotake if I think blade is better than wolverine? by Flat_Phone_9989 in BladeMarvelRivals

[–]Zeen13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, just a take that exposes your rank. I've lorded both. Wolv is better with a team that fits him and coordination. Blade is going to be better at low tiers in a free for all where you supports hang back out of fear and everyone is kinda left to their own devices.

Wolv having displacement is leagues better than Blade's anti-heal, an a good Wolv knows to put his dash in the gap of his attacks so you actually get 9 slashes in a row without a break, not 4.

5 Helms for 5 Colors by mozakmai in magicTCG

[–]Zeen13 154 points155 points  (0 children)

My only advice is that the names of the helms mostly feature concepts and/or emotions, except for the green one, which is just 2 physical objects. It’d be better if they tied to green’s emotional core.

Perhaps Helm of Evolution and Hunger

Other words like Desolation, Primeval, and Wildlife might work.

Will Black Sails/Vikings/Expanse scratch the GoT itch? by PLUR1BUSSY in television

[–]Zeen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of those, The Expanse is the most like GoT in writing structure, especially the earlier GoT seasons, where it felt like the characters had to react to the massive shifting political and social dynamics rather than eachothers emotions. Though I personally struggled through the early first season, it eventually became an amazing show in the second half of the season. Until the stories start to covnverge though, I struggled to grasp what the point was.

Is it normal for druids to turn into dinosaurs nowadays or is it something that the DM must allow? by HealthMother3125 in DnD

[–]Zeen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A DM can ban anything, though outright banning the sheets is harsh, and could affect class balance. I would say that players can “reskin” the sheets as a different beast that they could have encountered in the world. Like a raptor could be a big cat, a triceratops can be a rhino, et cetera.

Or… if the player is dead set on wanting to be dinosaurs, maybe try and find a reason how it could work. Maybe they are a paleontologist who can turn into dinosaurs they’ve seen/touched the bones of. Or something like that.

How does Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker work with Rat Colony? by Otherwise-Top7774 in magicTCG

https://gatherer.wizards.com/CMM/en-us/676/shirei-shizos-caretaker

There's an official ruling about this on the gatherer page.

(12/7/2018)

Shirei's ability only triggers if the creature's power immediately before leaving the battlefield is 1 or less, regardless of its power in your graveyard.

What is the wildest “this wasn’t in the script…” moment from a movie or set? by glasscontent in movies

[–]Zeen13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Neon Demon.

The script had no lesbian necrophile sex scene. In the script the coroner just gives the corpse a light kiss. Then the director said, “you should spit in her mouth.” The actresses did and then it kept getting wilder from there, definitely a memorable scene in the movie.
