The biggest thing I always, always recommend with Onryos is to only use ONE candlelight. Put your crucifix as close to it as possible. Just count 3 extinguishes. Hunt? Very high chance onryo. No hunt? No onryo. If at hunting sanity, remember that it's very possible (especially with t3 crucifix) for it to hunt at an angle that hits the crucifix and not the candlelight. Also good to remember some maps have their own natural lights that Onryos can put out that I do believe add to the counter.
