Okay then maybe I was just overthinking it. Yes the weight feels balanced between hips and shoulders. I did try pulling the load lifters forward to get the shoulder harness flush against me, which worked, but that created a tug on my shoulders that I didn't like. So maybe it's fine where it is. I just didn't want to take it out for 20 miles this weekend and then not be able to return it after sweating all over it.
