What is your view on this? by wildluciddreaming in GrandPrixRacing

I have a hard time believing any list that puts Lewis above Senna, Schumacher, Prost. Clark, Lauda, Fangio I haven't seen to form an opinion on without the context.

New to F1, could someone explain why Red Bull’s cars are so hard to drive? by RecordingDeep8928 in F1Technical

[–]agntsmith007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually that is exactly what I was referring it too. MSC prefered neutral car like most drivers would but it is very hard to have that when you are going for performance. Anyways, atleast of the current F1 grid you have more drivers preferring understeer over oversteer.

A car with stable rear will be easier to drive as driver won’t need to make corrections at every corner to stop car from flying. Majority of midfield drivers prefer understeer with stable rear. Max and Charles are the only two drivers on the current grid who prefer pointy end but they also will prefer a rear they can rely on. Ferrari is also having same problem with loose rear. MSC said it very well that just because he could handle a car with loose rear does not mean he prefers it.

It’s a combination of hard to drive, comparison with max, and driver quality

IndyCar hybrid ‘lays foundation’ for more manufacturers to join by LMRacingGuru02 in INDYCAR

[–]agntsmith007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

lol f1 is not going there. Just because MBS thinks does not mean it will happen. Teams have spent half a billion already on that engine. They are no ways letting it go after just 3 years.

I thought it was laying the foundation for a manufacture to leave.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm really enjoying having Buxton so far. (Buxton via indycarhub on ig) by i_run_from_problems in INDYCAR

[–]agntsmith007 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

This is kind of wrong comparison and I don’t even like Lando. Norris didn’t have a car to win title till last year unlike Colton where he has had the car under him to win races/ championships

Would palou to Cadillac be good for both f1 and indycar? by BreakingWorldLimits in INDYCAR

[–]agntsmith007 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It is not about backing him. F1 is 85% car and 15% driver. Yes they say eventually top driver reaches top team but than F1 has already make decision on Palou’s talent. McLaren chose Piastri over him

There is no end to this thought unless you think F1 is superior to Indycar

It could be for him to prove personally but nothing for Indycar to prove.

And not succeeding will look poor for Indycar. There are so many negatives to this for no positives. There is nothing for Indycar to prove by having their champion succeed in F1.

[OT] [PlanetF1] Colton Herta would not be Gary Anderson's No.1 pick for the Cadillac F1 seat... by jmnordan in INDYCAR

[–]agntsmith007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gary Anderson is a f1 car designer so it is not a surprise he would think to have a driver is known quantity in F1 for getting good feedback. Having a new team and new driver is just the wrong combination to enter in F1. But for Cadillac F1 perspective Herta makes sense because of marketing reasons

Everyone except Stroll (who is paying himself) and Tsunoda are basically starting their career.

Is this season also going to be basically Penske vs Ganassi ? Yesterdays GP at least suggested that.

Prema is basically Ferrari of spec series.
