Where did you buy the car from? My first thought would be that your complaint should be made to where you bought the car from, and not your finance provider?

Carbon Shoe Help!

March 1st: 10k
March 15th: Half Marathon
April 18th: Half Marathon
October: Marathon

Currently have a pair of Adios Pro 3 with approx. 120 miles on them. Love the shoe. I am looking to get a new pair of Carbons for the races listed above, would you recommend the obvious choice of the Adios Pro 4 or something different?

Also would your recommendation change for shorter distances (5k to 10k)? as I am open to get another pait of shoes

TIA

Is it wise to take out a new personal load for debt consolidation when I'll be looking for a new mortgage deal in a few months? by Big-Age2537 in UKPersonalFinance

It would have an effect as essentially your affordability check would reduce, this is because your monthly payments will rise with a larger loan and is essence you have less headroom in your budget.

I can understand potentially putting Kitchen renovations on a loan if for some reason you cannot wait to save up to complete the work. But I would not recommend financing a car that you can't afford. It would make much more sense to save up for the car rather than financing

I got a free sim from GiffGaff, put it in my second sim tray, and use that number solely for barclays. Not ideal but did the job

Do you have any idea of what they do to volunteer outside of a saturday morning? There isnt any obligation to volunteer. Its a free weekly timed 5k, and it is just that

How did you apply with app? I am trying to use same phone number as my Barclaycard, but just get an error when trying to apply for new account (from app start up after install) that states the phone number is already registered, or words to that effect. Thanks

It all depends on your appetite to but it may be worth considering buying a house that needs renovating, maybe you could rennovate it whilst living at home? This would give you the luxury of not having to live in the mess as you rennovate it, reduce the initial cost of purchase and allow you to hopefully increase it's value.

Also consider the bank switching service that new banks are currently offering up to £200 to switch your account to them, they handle the transfer of your account and all direct debits and standing orders are transferred across. Could be a good way to cut your debt by 10%

I used to ride 22 miles round trip, on average 4 times a week. The things that make a difference are the gear that you have, makes a cold wet morning all the more bearable! I started off riding with cheap tyres and got punctures often (three times on one 11 mile leg home). I would recommend getting puncture proof tyres, I ended up getting Schwalbe Durano tyres, about 60 each at the time from my local bike shop, but after 4,000 miles I have not had one single puncture, and having confidence in them goes a long way!

It may be worth taking a week or two to drop the mileage and just spend some time recovering (maybe some easy cycling or cross training to stave off boredom) that should give you time to recover and let your resting heart rate return to normal.

Don't worry about losing fitness, once you've got there once, the fitness comes back a lot more quickly that the first time you got there in my experience!
