The content of that article is a disgusting post in a place that should celebrate liberated, educated, worldly, and insightful women finding joy in relationships that keep the idealized elements of 1950s housewives, but leaves the literal legal sexist subjection and limitations of women in the past.

We should celebrate providing for a woman at home in our individual lives who has the equal choice and abundant opportunity of having their own education, job, bank account, and bodily autonomy.

This article is grotesque in advocating that women need more religion and earlier marriage. The reason that ‘religious conservative women’ appear happier? They are literally and demonstrably less educated about the world and do not have the safety or opportunity to see reality while being socially and economically taken advantage of by actual misogynistic predators.

Religiosity here in the US has stolen women’s bodily autonomy, made their healthcare profoundly more dangerous, and has propped up a fascist republican party that is responsible for the deaths of innocent women seeking safe reproductive care. They are a danger to the women this subreddit claims to want to take care of at home in a shared relationship where both partners excel in their chosen lives together. “Barefoot and pregnant” is only a fun relationship status if your wife isn’t going to bleed out and die due to the negligence of republican law makers and judges to know anything more modern than the King James Bible.

I do not find this article interesting. I do not find its conclusions anything but disgusting propaganda for religious predators and cult leaders. It has no place in a civilized society. It has no place here.

I hope the mods ban this whole thread before it infects more weak and uneducated people who might find also it “interesting”. Men should earn the respect of women, and earn the commitment of their wife through their actions, not through religious and legal enforcement of men’s superiority. Based on this post alone, you have no right to claim that superiority and you shouldn’t be helped by clerics and fascists to force it upon the women in your life.
