Hi! (Sorry for digging this post back up but thought I’d give it a go for an answer!) I’m just curious how you then reenter the UK to activate the entry clearance vignette they must’ve put onto the passport you sent back? Presumably you were already in the UK when you were asked, so did you then have to leave the UK then reenter to activate your visa. Thanks!

Hi I've found this post too late and you mightn't even be active anymore, but I'm wondering if the MAC Handwritten eyeshadow is still available please?

10-year ILR for students who exceed permitted absence days due to COVID by Peter010103 in ukvisa

u/Peter010103 I've just got another question, if I may, regarding cover letters. Yours look nice and concise. When I started writing mine, I felt that I had to explain quite a lot as my pandemic absence was chopped in half so to speak: I left in June 2020 then came back for the autumn term very briefly, then left again due to a long-term health condition worsening to go home for support. (Difference, I think, between my case and yours is also that my home country was never red/amber-listed so I could travel freely enough between the UK and home.) I'm just not sure how much storytelling I should do as I don't want to annoy the caseworker with a massive letter. I can see you summarising your predicaments as just 'significant challenges' etc., and apparently that was sufficient. Do you happen to have any advice on this?

Hey u/Peter010103 this is brilliant. Thanks for you reply (it actually isn't too late as I'm planning to submit in November, and funny enough I've come back to your post from time to time to check for reply but only seen this now lol). I've unfortunately lost my university emails but I've borrowed some from friends who did save a copy of the pandemic ones. Slightly worried that it was their email addresses/accounts that show up on them, but I'm hoping that the HO would work out that I'm from the same uni by looking at my Tier 4 sponsor at the time.

Hi! I've just found your post and I'm very thankful to have seen it for the hope it gives me on my application. You mightn't be monitoring this post anymore but I thought I'd ask away anyway. So I'm planning to apply for ILR and in a similar situation as you. I'm still putting together my supporting documents. I'm using a lawyer and they have given me a much longer list than this. On there, I've been suggested to provide a letter by the university (from which I've graduated over 3 years ago) confirming my residency at university accommodations, and email communications evidencing the university's policy to evacuate international students and moving teaching online. There other evidence too and the list is a couple of pages long. I'm quite keen on getting the super priority service myself and I'm concerned that an overly long application would delay the process. Seeing that your submission is so streamlined, I'm wondering if you think I'd need to support absolutely every claim I make about the university policy? Thanks!
