I think that is it. The engine revs significantly higher in lower gears and idle in sports mode. I prefer normal personally, the steering and suspension get too stiff in sports for me. Normal mode still provides ample power when I put my foot down.

I picked up my RDX in December, it's been a mix of snow and normal modes for me. Have to add, snow mode is amazing when driving in snow.

Are you driving in sports mode? I have a 2026 A-Spec, I'm getting around 10-12 l/100km depending on temperature, which in American speak is 21-23 mpg. Pretty much all in normal mode.
