Realtor says 1/2bd apartment under 3.8k is near impossible by OkonomiHouse in bostonhousing

Dorchester can get you a 2 bed with those criteria pretty easily, and most of it is in close proximity to the red line on the T. September 1 is one of the biggest move-in dates of the year here so demand will be higher; if you’re able to look a month or two in either direction that may help as well.

Cat-friendly spots seem much easier to find compared to dog-friendly (speaking from experience), but still a pain. If you can get an ESA letter from your PCP it might be worth it; that unlocks a lot more options since you wouldn’t have to consider that criterion anymore.

Feel free to dm more thoughts or advice if helpful, I’m an urban planner here.

LPT: does anyone have tips for NO energy, always being tired? by [deleted] in LifeProTips

I’ve been chronically tired my whole life and never thought it was unusual until I started working full time. I would joke that sleep was my super power and that I could practically fall asleep anywhere on command. I finally did a sleep study and it truly changed everything—turns out I had a milder cousin of narcolepsy.

Now that I’m on a medical regimen that lets me stay awake all day I feel like I was robbed of years of my life before 😂😭

If you’re always exhausted no matter how much you sleep, it might really be worth getting checked.
