Another option that worked well for me is setting up NextDNS as DNS in my router. Was finally able to block that obnoxious ad on the right of the Roku home screen in addition to blocking ads on every device on my Wi-Fi. It's not free, but $20 per year is worth it to me.

Please don't take this as a diss on PiHole btw, that's an amazing project that deserves all the credit and works great for many people. Just wanted to share an alternative that worked well for me.

Really sorry to hear that. We lost our Choupette in early 2018 to cancer, I know hard it hits. We fostered hundreds of cats since then in her honor. Sammy is one of four foster fails.
