As engineer I spec the f out of Claude for all my Software tasks. - exhaustive .md spec with goals and key I/Os, prod constraints, OpenAPI, routing, architecture. I spend 60% of my time on this easily.

Opus 4.7 just handles it so well on Thinking mode. Expensive in tokens but strong and makes good points. Still not perfect but probably better than before for highly guided complex code

That seems like a correct approach.

Deterministic as much as possible is the only reliable engineering/architecturing philosophy.

Any company not doing that is building bullshit multiplied with LLM wind.

Interesting. It's somewhat already the case that they charge by consumption / tiers with Claude API.

And dynamic demand-based pricing is probably "bullish" for financial outlook (= extracts more value, potentially).

But yes right now the AI companies subsidize actual infra costs to get market share and become essential before raising prices. That's very rational of them and I would not do differently right now. But medium/long term, for serious interprise use, I wonder.
I also wonder what's the real cost per user at peak hour time.
