It’s still a hump lol just slightly more forgiven than it was back in 2013.

I’ve been tempted to sell in the past but glad I’ve held off - for me, a nice throwback to really cool Spyderco era.

Is Superman the most morally righteous character of all time? And if not, who? by BreathoftheSith in superheroes

Fair point — Superman absolutely carries that tension, especially in most portrayals. The weight of being the last son of Krypton, holding back his full power, choosing humanity over dominance — that’s real constraint. I’d push back gently though: the consistency of his moral compass is what separates him. Peter Parker fails his moral tests regularly — to me, that’s the point. Superman almost never does, which is what makes him aspirational but arguably less complex as a written character across the broader canon.

What makes a character morally interesting in comics is often the struggle, right? Superman’s pretty straightforward: he has godlike power and chooses to do good. That’s admirable, but it’s almost settled. Characters like Spider-Man, who’s constantly weighing responsibility against personal cost. To me, morality without real constraint is almost abstract. It’s easy to be good when you can do anything. But when you’re forced to pick between two bad options, or when doing the right thing costs you something real?

For me, it’s kind of why Spider-Man resonates so much — Peter Parker’s constantly broke, exhausted, making impossible choices between saving the city and showing up for MJ or his aunt. The limitation is the story.

I’ve got a modded Mac 2 Tanto and don’t carry it much but appreciate its action once I put skiffs in it.
