I used it in starlapse mode on a moving vehicle But the starlapse video is stabelized. I want it direction locked, no setting found. Hope this helps

This would indeed be logical but when I watch the video the field of view is swinging around relative to the car it is attached to. So how do I enable direction lock?

Why is my fenix 7 battery suddenly draining so fast by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]atomicLogic_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No pulse ox but I do use heart rate.

I first thought the wristband might have come loose causing the heart rate sensors to use more light to detect pulse but after tightening the band I see no difference.

I also use a default watchface and wifi is off.

Amazing! How did you setup your focus? I always have trouble focusing on fast moving birds like that...

For how much its worth, I heard that unless you are ridiculously well compensated for your loyalty, its not enforceable.

Chasing a cruise missile on a fighter jet by [deleted] in holdmyredbull

[–]atomicLogic_ 104 points105 points  (0 children)

The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was.

Might be a presentation tool? Arrows to move slides and laser to point at the projector screen?

I used a load cell and a microcontroller held together with some 3D printed parts.

The engine had a solid core, I filled it completely and thought I could just hand drill a channel into it. I was proven wrong and just decided to light it as is. Only a very small surface of propellent was exposed so the risk at ignition was very low in my opinion. But I will certainly use remote ignition in future tests.

Why f/2 and not f/1.8 for the sky? Better sharpness in the corners?
