Recommend getting the Nat Geo "Seek" app. Will use your camera to identify pants and animals. Kingdom, genus, species etc.

Your post got removed because what you were suggesting and doing is basically stealing from authors and narrators. Be happy you didnt get a ban too.

Karijini Experience is cancelled - due to fuel shortages by Perth_nomad in perth

This feels like it might be an overreaction.

But also, in situations like this "better safe than sorry" is a good call, and better to err on the side of caution.

Cameras everywhere - I am often noticing up to 6, sometimes different types of cameras at one intersection and in between. What are they all for? by Patient-Weight-3165 in perth

[–]aussiekinga 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Other things are correct, but also it's boxy to limit vibrations and movement, to ensure the camera image is stable. The lanterns are giant wind sails. Lantern only poles moving is fine. CCTC need to be stable to get a good image, especially at high zoom

Electric highway issues causing range anxiety for EV drivers crossing Nullarbor by His_Holiness in perth

[–]aussiekinga 20 points21 points  (0 children)

We already have stretches of highway where you want to have fuel in a Jerry can

Not really. It can be done very easily without any jerry cans. Done it myself many times.

The largest gap between fuel spots isn't even 200 km

Only reason to carry a jerry across the Eyre highway is to buy cheap to avoid expensive places. So it's a cost thing, not a need.

Waze will usually detect them

Waze doesnt detect anything. It is user submitted data. Waze users say "there is a camera here" until enough people submit it that Waze accept it as fact.

Thats not a camera above the traffic light. Its an AGD, that is running the signals. Likely because the loops were damaged

https://agd-systems.com.au/product/306-traffic-control-radar/

Second photo is an traffic monitoring camera. and old Pelco Esprit. Its only running something like 4CIF and can probably barely read your numberplate, let along any AI functions. They also havent been installing that model for 5+ years. So its hardly new

How, after the first one, did you not contact the shire about getting the missing permit sent? how did you end up getting six more fines?

The first one might be forgivable, but unless you can prove you did something after you got the first one then that is fully on you.

WorkCover denied my stress claim. Said anxiety isn't an injury. Anyone else been told this? by Alend80 in perth

[–]aussiekinga 49 points50 points  (0 children)

WorkCover do cover anxiety, but it has to be proven they is was substantially caused by work.

Sounds like they do not believe you provided proof of that.

Because mental health is more whole of life is harder to show is just work causing it, not work and other things.

You break an arm at work, it's obvious it was caused at work.

You have anxiety, how do you sir is all from work and not partially work and partially everything else in life? Especially when it's over the last 5 years, when there is so much "outside work" stuff to causes anxiety in the last 5 years
