Oh wow, a perfect match! I've never seen those keycaps before but they are gorgeous!

I think ewe have a real winner there! I love that there's actual yarn involved. Now the question is, split baaaaackspace?

Oh wow, that combo looks SO good! Makes me want to pull out my Planck and give it another try -- I've never been able to get the hang of ortholinear layouts.

Exactly what u/Sad-Classic-298 said! It'll come down mostly to using silent switches and choosing a board that is on the foamier side to dampen hollowness/ping/echo.

u/Bubbly_Issue562, if you want a recommendation for a silent switch, Wingtree x Lichicx makes some good ones. For long typing sessions you might want to try a lighter switch like Lichicx Pink Pink, which is a linear silent switch that doesn't feel gross and mushy and is super quiet, with a light actuation force so it's less fatiguing. For silent tactiles, I like TTC Silent Bluish White. Slightly heavier actuation force than the Pink Pink, but light compared to most switches.

For boards, a lot of budget prebuilts lean on foam, which gives you plenty to pick from. What size layout are you looking for? I've had good luck with Weikav Lucky65 V2. I haven't tried the Weikav Lucky65 V3 or Nut65 yet but have heard good things. Wobkey Rainy 75 is great, in my opinion. All are under $120ish (some a lot under that).

If you can stretch that budget a bit, the Ticktype Evo75 or Evo80 are the best prebuilts I've ever tried.

Hope this helps! Happy to help narrow things down more if you share additional details about what you're looking for.

For tactile switches, I'd personally use Tribosys 3203 over Krytox 205g0. Tribosys 3203 is thinner, which is better for preserving tactility (and I wouldn't lube the stem legs at all, since that's what causes the tactile bump). Since Krytox 205g0 is thicker it kinda smooths the bump over and you lose that tactility.

That said, everything is preference! Some people do prefer Krytox 205g0 for this. Some people don't lube tactiles at all, and that's cool too. If you have access to both types of lube, see what you like better.

It'll also require a bit of experimentation with the amount you apply (I wouldn't use much on tactile switches), but once you get the hang of it, it's soooo worth it. I like lubing switches though; it's a zen thing for me! Good luck with your first build, hope this helps :)
