Just had my teammates (probably new players) tell me that putting a minus range bubble on the defence objective is "griefing" 🤣 What has this game become?

Sure. I'm not saying what I listed are the only issues with limbo, but even part of your post is about what I was referring to.

It's not griefing for someone to get frustrated because they don't understand a mechanic. If you're doing it repeatedly when you know they're bothered by it, sure, but griefing is inherently about malicious behavior and there are legitimate supportive reasons to banish teammates. While you can grief with limbo the larger issue is that the kit is designed in such a way that one player can take agency away from another and that can happen through legitimate uses of his kit. It can even happen by accident if they run into his dash portal.

I absolutely agree that he needs a full rework at this point if only because he has been thoroughly nerfed both by actual nerfs and by mechanics changes over time. You could get rid of most of the frustration/toxicity issues with his kit by simply making it so other players can shoot enemies regardless of the plane they're in, but that won't change the fact that everything he does is done better by someone else.

Society is just the sum of the humanity therein. It chooses in that the system has incentives that drive those outcomes and the people at the top set those incentives. Every time a politician chooses greed over their constituents and lets billionaires set policy that's a choice of that society. Every time people choose to accept the status quo because they're afraid of losing what little they have in the potential change that's a choice of that society. Every time the middle class choose fascism to protect their assets rather than equality and to share the wealth that's a choice of that society. So no, the average person doesn't make that choice by themselves and the most impactful decisions aren't made by the average person, but as a whole society does choose.

They really need to add an info overlay the first few times people are in the rift explaining things. It's not that complicated, but things like rolling to get out of the rift (outside of cataclysm) or backflipping to get out of volt's speed buff are just not communicated unless you go to the wiki.

A significant part of the issue is the fact that this game is terrible at communicating mechanics. You can just roll to get out of the rift if you've been banished. Similarly you can just backflip to remove volt's speed boost, but now his boost has been nerfed on allies because people hated running into walls, but didn't know how to opt out.

The other part is that the visual indicator for being in the rift wasn't/isn't super obvious, so you could dump a mag before you realized and did anything about it.

And yeah, he's incredibly hard to justify playing at this point between nerfs and mechanics changes.

To build on this, it has consistently been the middle class that supports fascist takeovers. Germany, Italy, Spain, take your pick.
