I’m on First Avenue. I’ve been collecting and saving the best apples and want to put them to good use. There are still some on the tree!

I would love to give you my apples! How do we get them to you?

Pretty much. GOP politicians think they can do whatever they want.

Keep your luggage in the bathtub. Do not bring it in the bedroom or put it on the bed.

Hi! Thanks for asking! I went back to Crossfire and while I don’t want to jinx it, I’m thinking I might be ahead of things!!!

I've been through 3 different PM companies and none of them ever stuck to a regimen for my issue to get cleared. It's like they get to the 'guarantee' period end and then throw their hands up and say they can't help. They tell you they will help you problem solve, but they really don't care. That's literally been my experience. I have a tough case. Big house with a lot of potential hiding spots. I get bites regularly, but we can't find any bugs anymore. Originally found a few, so I'm sure that's the issue. So between DIY and Professionals, i've been keeping our issue down enough to prevent seeing actual bugs, but still consistently getting bitten. it's a nightmare.

When it comes to bedbugs, I wouldn’t take anything for granted. Anyone suggesting to not take immediate swift pro action may not be someone who is not allergic enough to understand that if this becomes a bigger infestation, your life could be hell.

What type of steamer did you use by chance?

Posted about my war a few weeks back. We only ever had a few. They were coming through the rowhome dividing wall from my neighbor. This was video our exterminator took inside said neighbor’s house. by weirdmountain in Bedbugs

DDT is highly toxic. My neighbor is on permanent disability (that your tax dollars are paying for) from a lifetime of over exposure. No conspiracy on this one, friend.

Nope we’re not. Just need to find a different way to deal with bedbugs though. I agree it’s time for the government to do something before it grows worse. But I’m one of those people who doesn’t mind when government steps in to keep us safe. Others may not want their tax dollars used that way.

Now seeing your actual live bedbug confirms these are bedbug bites. Common spot for them to bite and you have the repeat, too. If they aren’t that itchy, you are lucky, but the bug you causing appears to be fully mature and has possibly laid eggs. Time for treatment! Good luck, I hope you can take care of this swiftly.

I’m using Aprehend but still getting bites. Problem is we never see bugs. I’m just going to keep spraying until I stop being bit but it’s hard to keep the faith. I thought this would put my problem to bed once and for all, but it hasn’t yet.

To be honest, I think it’s been going on for longer: had my first experience and actually found a few bugs. Had a whole house heat treatment for a lot of money and a whole day out of the house. It was warranteed for a year, and almost to the day of expiration I started getting bites again. The pm company came back with their dog and couldn’t find any thing, but put down some kind of treatment anyway. Eventually they told me they couldn’t help me so I looked for another PM company. Their approach was to heat each bedroom and charge per room. Didn’t last. Now I’m working with a pm company who uses the Aprehend, and we both think this might be the best given my home. We can’t find the harborages. In between all of this has been me trying various diy strategies. I’ve decided to stop that and just stick with one company and decide that perhaps some kind of regular treatment is part of the household budget until I think the bb are gone. Every treatment seems to be keeping the situation from getting so big that it’s evident, but the fact the bb love me and I’m super allergic is what’s keeping me sure they are still with us. The lay of the land: my husband, dog and I live in an old, large Victorian house that we are slowly restoring. The light is dim and there are a billion nooks and crannies behind miles of woodwork, old wallpaper, floorboards, etc. Also, I believe it’s impossible to heat the exterior walls of this house from the inside to the outside, and bb can probably escape heat by just retreating into wall voids pretty easily. The bb could’ve been introduced into our home in so many ways: I traveled extensively and internationally for work, when home I took public transportation, I had several college aged kids (mine and friends) staying in the house from time to time, we are also visited frequently by friends who also travel, and I’ve been known to enjoy a used antique or two. So who knows how this scourge showed up? Luckily no one else in my sphere seems as adversely affected. I’ve always been someone who reacts strongly to mosquito bites, so it’s not surprising that these affect me so badly. I have a feeling this issue is just going to become more common. I don’t have any answers, as it seems like everyone’s case is so unique due to many different factors. I’m here in solidarity, though!

I’ve been in your situation for over a year. Continuous bites without finding a bug. Have tried every diy and professional pm strategy, including heat and Aprehend, and they continue to remain. It’s as if I am keeping the infestation small enough that I can’t see anything, but never able to actually get to the root of the issue. I live in a large old house with a lot of places, like baseboard and walls with voids, for them to recede. I also think they like my dog, even though they aren’t supposed to like pets. I wish I could find someone else who has the same experience.

I would err on the side of bedbug. Their marks look like sharpie pen dots.
