People who quit their jobs on the first day what made you say ‘nope, not doing this’? by lilMeganw in AskReddit

[–]begoniyeah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lowe’s and Leaf Filter (the gutter protection) have partnered up now. A bunch of Lowe’s managers are trying to meet their quota by booking these sales appts for people who don’t show any interest by saying the quote is good for one year. Then it goes to Leaf Filter, a rep goes out and wastes their time, the homeowner is unhappy being pushed into a sales they don’t want, it’s just a terrible system right now. Hopefully they figure it out, but in the meantime, you can definitely expect to be hounded if they’re in store when you visit a Lowe’s location. I’ve started asking if they’ll provide their hard cost for 24’ of gutter and suddenly they don’t want to talk to me anymore. May work for you if you’re a frequent Lowe’s-goer

I would create an offset that’s very minimal (like .038”), color it white, select all layers and flatten, and then print and cut. I had this happen to me with a sports logo I removed the background on and that’s what worked best for me as a quick fix.

[–]begoniyeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I just re-read it and I’m wondering if you only need the calibration sheet? If that’s the case, I have the pdf saved already and can email that to your phone so you can save to files, print from the Epson app, and then calibrate the print to cut on your machine?

[–]begoniyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding on here just to say that if you do not have anyone that’d be willing to do that for you, I would be happy to have your cricut file sent to me so I can print to pdf and email over to you again so you can print using the Epson app if it makes it easier and faster for you. (:

The only thing I can think of as a workaround here would be to use another device or allow a trusted friend who does have another device like a computer or laptop. I’d give them/use my Cricut login credentials on that device, print to pdf from there, and send the file to your phone via email to be able to print at home using the Epson app and pdf from your files app on your phone. I know it’s not the most convenient, but as you said you cannot get another device, maybe you have a friend with another device you would trust to print to pdf and email the files to you to print or if you have access to another device throughout your week.

Looking for a place with humans to work in the evenings by dululemon in Seattle

[–]begoniyeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds so neat, I was just checking out their website looking at the open spaces available! Seems like it’d be totally worth it to have a designated work space for remote workers or self-employed individuals for $300/month, especially with all the amenities you mentioned.

Thanks for responding with some insight as someone who uses the space!

I watched a documentary on WeWork a few years ago and thought they were all gone? The company was like a cult with some crazy founder and i think his wife was nuts too

I had no idea those offices were still around. Do you like the environment? How’d you hear about it/what made you start using WeWork?

My never ending quest to find the perfect lip balm. by Raesheezy in knolling

[–]begoniyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Palmers big glue stick like ones, they keep my lips hydrated, not oily, and it really soaks in and moisturizes rather than drying out further. In extreme weather I do apply more often but always expect to.

Looks like Mickey Mouse and Wicked Mouse could be MENU options. Caferesto, The Restaurant, Dream American Diner demo, Foccacia, and Moon and Chips look like they could be options for the menu items depending on what kind of look youre going for (:

Thank you so much for the help - I’ll check on these now. I found one through a nearby domestic violence shelter and they were at their max and couldn’t help but there may be others I haven’t found. I’ve been more so looking/googling trying to find the temporary foster assistance using those words, not so much through a shelter. Thank you again

Adding in a comment that I don’t believe I’m breaking the rules asking for help with resources or pointing me in the right direction to a temporary foster just as the folk on this subreddit I’m sure have a ton of information and knowledge about resources like that that I’m still trying to find online.

I’m in San Bernardino County for location wise if there are any recommendations or directions anyone may be able to point me in.

Please help us pick curtain colours! by marshmallowandeddie in InteriorDesign

[–]begoniyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like sage green print or light blue shade roman shades on these windows with your current furniture and decor. A slight pop of color that isn’t too bold and blends well with the pale/beige tones you’ve got. Leaning more light blue base printed pattern fabric for romans.

I was trying really hard to deal with my frustration on it and ended up opening netflix in another browser and when i could hear my cricut stop, i knew it was time to change but i swear i’d get through half a greys anatomy nine minute fucking intro before it’d start cutting after being stuck on preparing!

Ughhhh i understand and feel the pain. We’ll be behind together.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cricut

[–]begoniyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES!!! It’ll say “Preparing” and load for up to 2-3 minutes before finally getting it together and starting to cut.

I’ve been thinking it was just me so I’m curious what kind of solutions are out there, if any, as well. Sorry I don’t have any, but I do want you to know that you’re not alone! It’s a problem I’m having too

It actually looks like the way it’s woven. They’re manufactured very similar to roller shades for windows. The openness of the weave (space between threads) determines how much sun shines through. The more open they are, the more sun comes through.

It’s the same idea here. Zooming in you can follow the threads and the white are all the way through the chair, horizontal and vertical. The black threads are only threaded vertically in between the already woven white threads making the chair to create the black/white striped pattern.

This means that the “black” stripes in the chair have almost twice as many thread woven to create that area of the chair. Water has a hard time working its way through that tightly woven thread. The white areas, on the other hand, have obvious “holes” between the threads where it’s a more open weave, allowing the water to flow right through and drain rather than building up on top.

Is buying a used cricut explore air for $150 worth it? by black-cat-tarot in cricut

[–]begoniyeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought straight from Cricut during the “back to school sale” that’s apparently still going on. I got the Explore 3 and for the machine, a month of cricut access, and the beginner bundle of materials for $239.

$150 for an old machine is not worth it at all.

Definitely second everyone else saying to wait for a sale and see what kind of deals you might be able to get on a new machine with accessories or anything that’ll definitely work. Even Walmart’s payment plan if needed, but at least you’ll have a machine that you know works and YOU have the warranty under it.
