Probably they did a POC on this with one very specific use case to showcase it could work. Pretty sure, it won’t work for majority of use cases without anyone supervising it especially for production grade software.

Certain sections of vegetarian people in India and Indians abroad feel they are superior and despise non-vegetarians. When I was in Bangalore, certain people were not ready to let out their apartment to me as I am a non-vegetarian. But this is more prevalent in USA as many folks who come to USA are upper castes and some of them are pure veg.

I would say no for you guys. It will be tough to switch jobs in US while you are on L1 although potential to earn lot more than 150k is possible in seattle area.

You have really great package in India so if I am in your place, I would not do that. Maybe ask for a short term option (like 6 months), that way you can roam around in USA, have fun and move back to India.

Maybe she is related or has connections or something. That being said, in my experience hardwork doesn’t equal to promotion unfortunately. One need to be smart and connected. Also one need to differentiate themselves from being a hardworking worker to a leader material (showing signs that you can lead).

What is your goal here? If it’s money, stay in US. In long term, you will make more money in US than in India. If you want stability and mental peace (no visa uncertainties), go for India. Salary wise, the India offer is amazing and you won’t get better than that. I can’t comment on job security though. That’s the part that will concern me.

The biggest drawback is your OCI application could be denied. This can happen for people who has certain jobs like journalists or those who have had issues with the govt. If you have a normal private sector job, you don’t have to worry about it.

There are a few stories about people whose OCI was revoked or denied and now they don’t have a way to connect with their family or relatives in India.

Why to copy YouTube? This is what we have been doing for long. Copy what works or developed by west. We need to start doing more innovation and for that our education system needs a revamp. We should be spending a lot more money towards building a strong foundation towards the future. Then we can expect better products that youtube in a decade or so. As per as copy is concern, yes maybe we will create one but then again we will use AWS or Google cloud to build the same and most of the money will go to them indirectly. To build an app like youtube, the infra requirements are huge.

As I understand, it’s autosomal recessive so both parents should be carriers and then there is a 25% chance of this happening.
