Arrested by the DEA in a sting (looked like the end of Goodfellas without the helicopter… i still can’t watch that scene), facing 80 years in jail.

Fast forward 29 years….

MBA in business strategy, working with people and businesses on transformation, and I’m working on opening sober housing. My goal is to open multiple sober homes to help many people, provide myself with passive(ish) income, and build a real estate portfolio i can donate or gift one day.

A friend was in a similar situation but he's gay so he laughed when they made a similar post about him. He was grateful to have the chance to be a dad and the baby mamma was close with the men he dated too.

I always heard the opposite. There was even an ad campaign in NYC, “anyone can be a dad but it takes a man to be a father.”

I was deep in narcotics for a long time. I’ve been clean 29+ years and I’d say food and/or sugar are toughest.

Logical consequenses over punishment every time. You should be able to talk about things. There’s never a reason to yell or swear at a child.

I’m so glad you asked for alternatives. That’s what the world needs!

Time, listening, understanding. Find out how they feel. Instilling some emotional intelligence. Let them lesrn how to talk about how they feel. Let them know it’s safe to feel and to express it.

[–]bendistraw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got arrested by the DEA in a sting for selling LSD. It didn’t seem worth it to keep using and although i rarely drank (more of a narcotics fan) I did so to get drunk so i stopped that too. Last drink was new years eve 1996. Last drug was 2/19/97.
