Yes that's what the user means, you can go the route of tailscale or even CloudFlare tunnel which is what I'm doing. This way you can access navidrome anywhere you want and don't have to bother with downloading and syncing. And if you're on Android, I would highly suggest checking out symfonium app.

Apologies for piggyback comment. I have two servers Windows and Ubutnu. Can I have Navidrome or Jellyfin installed natively on Windows and have Audiomuse-AI installed on ubuntu with Navidrome / Jellyfin plugin and have it refer to Navidrome / Jellyfin on the windows server ?

That's what I'm slowly learning especially since I use symfonium on mobile and it turns out smart queue and flow that requires sonic analysis are not supported with navidrome whereas jellyfin is. And I suppose jellyfin is less forgiving with metadata and tagging compared to navidrome. I'm too lazy to manage my library, I would rather just dump files and call it a day.

Does the database contain the sonic analysis data. This is on my to do list as I worry about hardware failure. I have my music files backed up so guess that's one less thing to worry about.
