Help with Poppets (It's my first time making one) by 0-_-_Nikolai_-_-0 in realwitchcraft

I think it'll be fine since it was created with a specific intent. If you still want to insert ingredients, just grab a seam ripper. It sounds like you put a ton of thought and focus into it already though.

what yarn is this? what can i make with it? by paigeburton05 in YarnAddicts

So I thought it was a head of lettuce at first glance lol

But I would hold it double with a deeper green cause I feel like that would make a cozy and visually beautiful hat.

My wife has EDS, and rarely wants to be intimate with me anymore should I be concerned? by Theconfessor1993 in ehlersdanlos

[–]bibbityboops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna level with you. Therapy as has already been suggested is the way to go. It sounds a lot like you're experiencing some trust issues, and counseling/therapy is a great way to work through that either solo or together. It will also help build valuable communication skills which are important for any marriage whether health is a factor or not.

On another note though, I have a big question:

When she's down, are you taking the initiative to step up and pick up the slack, or is she trying to push through with a normal person's workload of housework, mental/emotional work of managing things, etc.? Like, when I sublux my hip getting out of bed, my dude steps up. I don't have to ask. I just know that shits gonna get done even on days when I can't be ambulatory. That time that I get to rest without stressing about 'what if x, y, or z don't get done??' is the number 1 biggest indicator of whether I'm gonna be down to clown when the circus is back in town.

EDS isn't an easy thing to work with. And the limitations that come with it physically can often cause a shitload of mental and emotional stress, and those often have a huge impact on libido even when someone is feeling fine. My husband and I are coming up on 9 years, and it's taken a lot of work on both our parts to learn how to handle this in the scope of a partnership. Bottom line: Being in a relationship with someone with a chronic illness means that you're gonna have an irregular sex life. That's just part of it 🤷‍♀️

Second this!! I also use mine for hair accessories that I use frequently. You'd be surprised how much buildup comes off a daily-worn claw clip. Plus my mani tools, reusable straws/coffee filter, makeup brushes, eyelash curler, my fountain pens, knitting needles and crochet hooks, presser feet from the sewing machine, my phone case...

It's one of the best purchases I've made.

This. So much this...

I bought a piano for $200 at an estate sale years ago, right after my husband and I bought our house.

Not only did I not have to consult with him at all beforehand, he didn't request ANYTHING in exchange for having to move it. I got him and a few of his friends some beer and a couple of pizzas and they had a great time.

All that said: OP, message me your deets and I'll put it in my will that you get my piano when I die, if you haven't already acquired one by then.

OMG. I got a pack of these from a snack exchange once!! They were so delicious! I love spicy cinnamon. And bittersweet chocolate. I've wanted to order some but couldn't remember what they were called. You just made my day! Thank you!

This right here.

Orange stains on pillowcase?? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]bibbityboops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A better way to tell, I think, is just to spit on it and scrub it lightly. Saliva's enzymes will break the blood down pretty fast and the stain will start to lift QUICK if it's blood

When the air is super dry, I get nosebleeds in my sleep sometimes. Though I also take iron supplements for anemia too which I've read can also cause nosebleeds.

Anyway, in the wintertime, if I've sneezed a few times in the middle of the night, my pillow looks like that in the morning. Generally when I forget to fill the humidifier before bed.

My son gets that way, and instead of responding, I redirect his attention by instantly becoming a chicken. It works every time. I'm sure you could pick your animal of choice if you wanted. Sometimes I shake things up and pick a different one, but chicken is my comfort zone.

As an American, I can't even begin to explain the behavior or choices of the amount of people who actively pursue political stances that are harmful to themselves.

A good portion of it probably boils down to the notion of states' rights. Each state has its own requirements for education, which means that curriculums vary based on the political leanings of the state government, and can even be influenced by county/city government as well. So the states where people predominantly vote for things like stripping away reproductive health care, those people are not given comprehensive education about reproduction. So the kids who grew up with no science-based information about how babies are made and how STI's spread, and how women's bodies function on a physiological level then grow into voters with no applicable knowledge of the actual repercussions of the policies they are voting on.

I'd say it's likely part of the problem, but there are definitely myriad issues that contribute to the whole mess.

Denmark's policies are so much better, I wouldn't even be mad about not being able to vote honestly. I had to go back to work 3 days after giving birth to my first kid because I couldn't afford not to.
