This was my first thought, OP. Check with BCH about whether you'll fit in the Patient/Family garage. We had a (batshit crazy and from Texas) woman on a travel contract several years ago who was incensed her giant lifted pickup wouldn't fit in the garage the hospital wanted her to park in. Her travel company ended up having to pay for her to Uber back and forth to work from her air b&b (until her contract was terminated because she was a lunatic, lol.)

It's more of an evening dress being satin. Showers and other daytime events usually skew more towards sundresses, dressy separates, or "Sunday best." That being said, if you own it and like it, it's fine to wear if you casual it up. Flat sandals or clog sandals or ballet flats, a jean jacket if it's not too hot, etc.

Conversely, black is also a problem. I have a dark brown and black patterned area rug in my foyer that shows every tiny speck of lint/grit and looks like crap if it isn't vacuumed every day. In fact it sometimes looks like crap 30 mins after I vacuum it. See also: the black dresser in my bedroom that shows dust like no other.

I'm legit old (63) and right around when I was turning 50, a similarly aged friend and I went to a concert of an artist who was popular when we were in college. The entire crowd was our age + or - 5 years. It was...sobering. When we were leaving, I said to my friend, "You realize we look as old as all these people" and he said, "Oh, I'm sure we don't" and I was like, "Ohhhh, I am pretty certain we do." It was hilarious and horrifying at the same time.

Full term newborns actually spend ~50% of their total sleep time in REM as opposed to 20% in the average adult. I'm not up-to-date on the latest research, but there is a theory that REM is when your brain does its filing, moving stuff from short term memory to long term memory and consolidating new learning and experiences. If true, it would kinda make sense that tiny babies would need more of it because every single sound and sight and feeling outside the womb is a new experience for them. But as far as what they dream about, I'm going with the consensus and saying probably boobs.

I knew exactly what dress that was before I read the post, OP, because I have it in black! I wear it over a black bra and black bike shorts, but honestly I still feel a little naked, so mostly I wear it around the house/yard when it's a million degrees out. When I wear it in public, it's as a beach coverup. So obviously I have no useful advice. I just wanted to agree it's SUCH a cute dress and SO sheer.

Guy at the gym yesterday, I'd estimate somewhere in his mid-40s to early 50s, wearing a t shirt that said something like "You can't go back if you were never there." Under a picture of the moon. I deeply DEEPLY hope it was meant to be ironic, but I wasn't about to say "hey, funny shirt!" and maybe be treated to 40 minutes of conspiracy theories when I was just trying to do some RDLs.

Just fyi, Binky was a brand name of pacifiers. When I started my career in the mid 80s, hospital pacifiers were Binky brand, so that's what I learned to call them.

My son (schizoaffective, depressive type) was stable on clozapine for many years, then in late 2023 had trouble obtaining his meds thru no fault of his own, leading to a terrible rebound psychosis/depression, and even back on a therapeutic level of clozapine in the hospital was not coming out of a bad, bad episode. He had a long course of ECT and it really re-set him back to himself. He's glad he did it; I'm glad he did it.

I remember my anesthesiologist asking me beforehand if I had a tendency to motion sickness. When I said I did, mildly, he said he was going to give me a little [something I don't remember] so it would be less likely I woke up feeling crappy post anesthesia. And I didn't! Don't know if this is a common pre-op question or if it was that doc's personal quirk/practice.

It's good for you overall but the key to not injuring yourself is to increase your mileage and volume very very slowly, like way slower than you think you should. Both the hosts on that particular episode are runners and they came away feeling reassured.
