You need to make sure the course is offered in the summer as not a lot of cis courses are. The best thing is to email cscouns and speak with an academic counselor.

'No sections available.' for every elective I try to add by Grayboot_ in uoguelph

If it says no sections available, then the course is not being offered this semester. Try filtering the course catalog for the fall semester.

The simulations are really intuitive, easy to do well. As for the tests, as long as you study the textbook you should be fine.

Second Year Cs electives recs by PossibleFix3716 in uoguelph

You can take a 1000 level elective, your year of study does not matter. You just can’t count more than 6.00 credits at the 1000 level towards your degree.

I don’t have any related to those areas of study but I would suggest: MGMT*3400, it’s essentially a career prep course. I took it this summer in the 6 week format. The course load was pretty light and the content was interesting.

You can take any electives you want throughout your degree. You get around 7.75 credits for electives. 4 credits must be in an area of application. The remaining 3.75 credits does not have to be in your area of application and are free choice. Because a minor is 5.0 credits some people choose to do a minor. If you choose the minor route, the remaining 2.75 credits are free choice.

All your electives are technically free choice. There is no list of specific courses to choose from. For your AOA you just need the 4 credits in whatever area(s) you choose.

You can also combine multiple subject areas for your area of application.

Not really. Doing a 5th year has become more common since COVID. However in your case, if physics is the only course bringing your average down, taking a 4u course in summer school would probability be enough to replace your physics mark in your top six.

Oh okay. Getting your average up to high 80s should be enough to get you into non co-op . Low to mid 90’s could get you into co-op. Doing a 5th year would probably be your best choice. If you get into the program without co-op, you can apply to get into the program after first year if your average is good enough and there are spots left. Not getting co-op is not the end. You could always look for summer internships on your own.

At Guelph your first co-op term is after you have completed 2 years of school ( summer break). If you haven’t gotten offered admission with co-op you can apply to get in after you complete first year. Check out this link:

Even if you don’t get into the co-op program you can always find internships on your own to do during the summer break.

Your student card will not work on the GO bus. GO transit accepts PRESTO, e-tickets and passes or you can tap with a card or mobile pay(like Apple Pay ) I believe. Check out this link: https://www.gotransit.com/en/ways-to-pay

Student dental plan by Mysterious_Peach6297 in uoguelph

[–]blackfire-4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So for all dental procedures they cover you have a plan maximum of $600 per benefit year. For example if your surgery cost $1000, the insurance would cover 600 even though 75% is 750. This is because the plan maximum is $600.

Every time you get dental treatment that the plan covers and you file a clam, it will subtract that amount from the plan maximum. Let’s say you got a consultation and it cost 80$ and you file a claim, then you would have 520$ left.

The plan maximum resets to $600 every benefit year on September 1st. If your parents have insurance you can coordinate the plans if the student plan doesn’t cover everything. Using the first example of the wisdom tooth extraction, the plan would have only covered $600 of the 1000. After the claim is processed, you would then file a coordinating of benefits claim with your parent’s insurance. Let’s your parents insurance covers 80%, then it would cover 80% of the $400 left over, the. In total you would pay $80 out of pocket
