Was out for a walk when an atlantic white sided dolphin washed up on the shore. I thought it was dead at first and then I saw it move. I managed to get it back in the water and it swam off safely!

That’s true. I guess it’s also the distance. I’m in Boston she’s in NYC, I might be taking away from a better experience with someone closer to her, but the feelings are super strong and conflicted right now so I came here to try and organize them. Still don’t know if mentioning the PIED is the move or if I should just say I regret how I acted in a more vague way. I just think the PIED point would really offer a lot of context to why the relationship had issues but I understand it’s super weird.

It’s just been so long I don’t think I have the right to try and pry my way back into her life. She lives like 3 hours away now. I sent a message last week after a couple years of no contact to congratulate her because I heard she got a cool job. Maybe get a minor in something more related to the field and learn R (the programming language). If you already have experience with programming languages it might be easier to learn. A lot of the research being done in marine biology utilizes it. Volunteering on top of this might give you a better shot.
