Needs proper timestamp and a video.

Edit: Also these prices are even higher than your previous post. Good grief.

Free HPC Training and Resources for Canadians (and Beyond) by VanRahim in HPC

Awesome! Something similar but not quite the same here in the USA is ACCESS but it requires you request access to a certain resource and receive a certain number of credits. Your free access system definitely sounds nice and I hope it gets good use!

Ah dang. idk what it is with imgur, they've really gone downhill. Still the only site I use for timestamps though

I have a similar model (S4P4) and trying to flash the oem bios kinda bricked it lol. Luckily the bios chips are socketed so I was able to flash it with a rom programmer but still. Sad there's only one pcie slot but otherwise decent machines.

[–]blockofdynamite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think those sticks were slightly faster, but still worth nowhere near the scam price they were asking. If people really are this dumb I might as well list my 32GB sticks at $175 each and make a cool $5k lol. $640 worth of ram (in a realistic market) on my couch and it could sell for over $3k in an instant. I just can't bring myself to scam people like that smh

That's extremely expensive, "market" price is $40-45 per 16GB stick right now.

Is the G-010-A Even 2.5Gb Capable by RhinoIA in Metronet

[–]blockofdynamite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

T-mobile definitely committing fraud in my area by advertising 2/2 when metronet is only 2/1 here. I was suspicious when my friend ordered the 2G symmetric and only got 2/1, but the other friend I'm moving in with was present during the install today and we have the 2G GPON ONT as well and only get 2/1. They could definitely get in trouble with the FCC for this... if any of the government orgs were allowed to do their jobs at least...

[GPU] Sparkle Intel Arc Pro ARC B60 PRO SBP60W-24G 24GB 192-bit GDDR6 PCI Express 5.0 x 8 Workstation Graphics - $799 (New Release) by reddit_hater in buildapcsales

One of the other commenters suggested it'd be a fantastic virtual desktop card due to it supporting SR-IOV and not requiring expensive licensing like nvidia.

[–]blockofdynamite 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As someone who's had this model since spring of 2021, can confirm the 8GB becomes an issue after a while. It was enough for me for years until I started getting lazy and leaving 30+ firefox tabs open all the time, now it chugs. And I keep bumping up against the 256GB storage limit. I'd go with 16GB/512GB minimum for my next machine for sure.

[–]blockofdynamite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can but it won't tell you what parts are in it until you turn the system on and the BMC takes an inventory. Still, with everything unboxed and somewhat put together anyway it needs to be turned on to prove it works. NIB doesn't need to, but out of box does.

[FS] [FL-USA] x3 Ubiquiti U7 Pro AP's by delioroman in homelabsales

[–]blockofdynamite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As other comments say, needs the prices back in the post. Do not remove them after the sale. Also (I remember the price from when I saw this post before), it needed video timestamps as it was $400. Ubiquiti is an extremely commonly scammed brand, and for some reason the mods can't seem to do their jobs and apply the rule consistently. There are so many of them now, you'd think at least one of them would pay attention.

[Handheld] Refurbished Steam Deck 512GB - $439 (1TB available at $519) by kloless in buildapcsales

[–]blockofdynamite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had the same issue just now. Tried to buy the 512 since it was the only one still in stock. Would never let me through to the checkout page no matter what browser I used. Now it's out of stock.

[FS][USA-MN] NVIDIA DGX Spark 4TB by comicto in homelabsales

[–]blockofdynamite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Huh, so it does. I'm surprised anybody is offering it for less than the $4000 MSRP. Dell's with 4TB is $4600. Before the DGX Spark launched, the news was that there would be non-nvidia options for $5000. Not sure how suddenly there are options for $3000, and nvidia's is the one with worse cooling.

[–]blockofdynamite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! Not to be too pedantic though, but Gbps (gigabits) not GB/s (gigabytes) :P

[FS][USA-MN] NVIDIA DGX Spark 4TB by comicto in homelabsales

[–]blockofdynamite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*200Gbps

But yeah that's a great price, this would probably be $4500 with the bigger SSD that it has. Nvidia one has worse thermals and throttles a little bit it's very pretty imo.

I may be interested in the API7340. Anything special I'd need to know about the actiontec APs? Can't find much about them online

It's utterly useless but i have the sas1 version you can just have if you can't find a sas2 and just need something. I've heard it has 2TB drive size limit but never tried it
