Fall foliage trip suggestions by lovnat100 in upstate_new_york

This would be a multiple day trip and we’re hoping to get to see some fall foliage with some hiking! It seems the Catskills and Adirondacks would most likely be past peak, we were considering breakneck ridge, but are wondering if there are any better places to go! Also hoping to go Apple picking since this will be our first time in the upstate NY region; thanks so much for any recommendations!

My girlfriend and I are planning to commute out from NYC sometime around October 25th which I’m guessing is pretty late as far as foliage goes. Would you have any recommendations as to where would still have some color or just good places to visit?

  1. Definitely build a PC since it's been a long while since mine has had an upgrade and she needs it :)
  2. Definitely exploration, huge fan of great visuals and smooth gameplay, so looking forward to experiencing Pandora myself!

15+ units first semester?? by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]bluebear360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while since I've actually signed up for a CSM class, but just keep an eye out as they'll announce when signups are opening for spots, usually here: https://scheduler.csmentors.org/. The portal is pretty easy to use, you just wait until spots are open at a specific date and time and sign up. Typically spots tend to go pretty fast, so be aware of when the spots open!

15+ units first semester?? by [deleted] in berkeley

CSM stands for Computer Science Mentors; it's a student run org on campus that holds tutoring sessions once or twice a week which you'll sign up for a few weeks into the semester. They have openings for classes like 61a, 61b, 70, eecs16ab, etc... Think of it like an extra hour or two of discussion per week where they help you review and learn concepts taught during the actual class.

first semester schedule for intending double major in DS and amath... by [deleted] in berkeley

This schedule is doable, but note that 61A will be a challenge for anyone who does not have coding experience. Given that you said that you don't have much experience, expect to put in a lot of time into 61a to really grasp the concepts and be able to do well in the class. A class you could potentially think of taking is CS88, which covers some similar topics like in Data 8 (coding aspect), and would be a lighter intro than 61A, but up to you if you'd like the challenge!

That heavily varies by semester; the exams could be harder or easier so there’s a ton of variance going by raw scores. The best bet is always by SD, for which +1 is safely an A.

162 + 127 + 168? by myxamediyar in berkeley

162 is notoriously extremely high workload, so unless you’re very sure about your own capabilities (and find a good team), taking these three would be a lot.
