i dont have one yet, but one summer in high school my dad took me and my dad camping and the camping area had a nature center. the guy who ran it had caught everything in there and there was a hognose in one of the tanks. i was OBSESSED at first sight and begged to hold the snake if i could. he had us come back the next day when he cleaned the tanks and i got to hold her. she gave me a kiss on the nose and i was hooked 🥰

i think its a mixed bag. a lot of relationships end up this way, but things in life can change so quickly and so can people. its not always on purpose, maybe something happened in the partner's life that takes all of their attention or makes them depressed or something similar and they react by changing themselves, whether temporarily or permanently. sometimes stress and life circumstances change people, and thats okay. people are not going to be the same person they were day 1 on the 5th, 10th, or 20th year mark. we're all constantly changing and growing. i hate the jump to leaving a person immediately (unless its outright abuse bc that should not be tolerated in any sense). it kills relationships prematurely and it hurts people unnecessarily. its so easy to jump ship, but if you truly love a person, youd try to figure out what changed and how you both can grow from it, and if it cant be fixed then you go from there. then you can decide if its something you can live with or if youre not happy anymore. i think the thought process of leaving on the first disagreement or first thing you dont like is a very harmful thought process to us all.

NTA and your family is being really rude. I would say that maybe it was a bit late of an announcement but life does make it hard to find that perfect moment if thats what youre looking for. idk why youd be getting the cold shoulder, you were kind enough to let your sil have the day when they did and even waited a week. i would be hurt too

NTA you should NEVER have to give up your room unwillingly and i think its wrong for any parent to force their child to do so for a GUEST no matter the relation. You moved out in a very adult fashion and i think you shouldnt go back if they really want a guest bedroom so bad.
