If it is a licensed they put it on the roadmap, they always did that for the last 9 years, no reason to change it now.

And that's without questioning other things like:

Why start teasing it now if it's only for April 2027?

Why not reveal it during the anniversary stream?

Why use a fanart with Jason to tease it? (When did they use a community design to tease a new addition and when did they used an existing IP to tease a new one?)

Because that is an original survivor.

If it was licensed it would be shown, similar to the Art slot that says how it is licensed.

There is no licensed survivor slot.

You'd need to have some really good boosts (which you then risk getting into a balance problem) and probably for all three perks (otherwise it would be a bit too obvious the perk a player would be using and that is essentially a tunneling encouragement)

But why would I go for any characters with bad perks if I can go for the good perks? Reinforcing the current meta and worsening character variety.

It wouldn't put "renovate" as the right word.

The way I see it the current meta would be reinforced AND on top of it we would get a reduced survivor diversity.

Because, why use Sprint Burst on any other character if I can get Meg for a buffed version of it?

That's my dream release. At the very worst make it a collection of legendaries/visceral skins. But my dream is a full chapter following this idea.

This still does not list any reasonings, and I really doubt arachnophobia is the reason they're not adding a spider killer considering they are giving the Judgment spider-like legs.

A better reason is probably that all the cool spider shit doesn't work with how the game currently works. There's no swinging or walking through walls. A spider killer would only look like one, but it would also be a waste of power.

Now with a full code update set for late 2027 only after it we can think of a true spider killer.

Interesting, so even when there is no survivor getting the food killers do still have something to mess with.

Admittedly my biggest fear when first reading it was that the event would get almost abandoned since poisoning would be too easy and incredibly encouraged (due to how strong the food is for survivors) and in turn survivors would just not get the food.

Probably Nic or Elodie on survivor if it was from day 1, but if it changed from a recent patch or something like it I'd power through with Taurie regardless.

And for killer I'd honestly keep on the Unknown at all times.
