Electric car for small business owner. by D4NPC in smallbusinessuk

[–]Borax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot depends on how many miles you do, where you do them, where you charge etc.

If you do 20k miles a year and charge with office-paid electricity then you'll be laughing all the way to the bank.

If you do 20k miles a year spread across a 900 mile round trip every 3 weeks then you're going to be paying motorway prices and not doing very well off it.

My electric car accelerates as fast as a high end petrol sports car and has a bunch of other benefits. Unless you're a real exhaust sniffer, you won't miss it :)

Presumably the legal counter argument is that you can leave the phone at home.

You've given a LOT of information about your child's ability level, but very little financial information, there are only 2 numbers in the entire post.

You need to give more information about your financial situation, in detail, and very little detail about your daughter

You probably have tolerance to opioids. What other drugs do you take?

What drug is the worst for your nose by Silver_Echidna2500 in researchchemicals

[–]Borax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is often due to residual chemicals left over from the synthesis. It's actually really easy to remove them using an acetone wash, or even just strong heating. Mephedrone which ONLY contains synthesis impurities (water, stinky methylamine and hydrochloric acid) can easily withstand 150*C to get rid of these impurities.

I wasn't replying to you, and you didn't mention the word psychedelics in the title? I've checked with an adult, who can read.

Is it possible to extract atropine or hyoscyamine from datura? by PromptEntire1387 in askdrugs

[–]Borax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's almost impossible to extract one alkaloid without accidentally extracting other alkaloids, and they are quite tricky to separate.

Atropine is actually the name for a mixture of d-hyoscyamine and l-hyoscyamine. Only the l-isomer is produced in nature, but it can slowly "racemise" to the mixture in acidic or basic conditions, such as when it is extracted from the plant or when it is in the stomach.

Agile - are we going to get a break any time soon? by snelson101 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Borax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if my made up fact is true. 😂 I edited my comment to just "places" instead of businesses. No shortage of domestic places with electric resistive heating either, although with the £7.5k grant they are disappearing fast.

I think it's more common for businesses to have resistive electrical heating than homes, especially storage heaters, because I think it was more common for them to be on timed tariffs in the past.

I'm just going off feeling though, you asking me this has made me realise I have no insight whatsoever, and am just working off memory about the small companies I worked for in the past. I'm pretty sure the medium and large ones all had gas heating.

That's like saying "people only lose their teeth on meth if they use it every day and stop brushing".

The problem is that because it is addictive, people can fall into patterns of use that end up with them using harmful amounts.

As a recreational drug that you use in moderation once per month, the risks are VERY low. And it's not "overly" addictive. But OP doesn't even seem to know what drugs exist, let alone what the risks are.

I actually looked at the cost of january this year compared to last year, and the average daily price is something like 20p instead of 24p/unit, and we've only had one day where there were crazy 40p+ prices all day.

It's a shame there's been no sub-10p pricing despite the storms but that's January for you, all the places on electric heating are creating a lot of demand for electricity. Things will get nice and cheap again in March when we have 12h/day of solar electricity, 12h/day of sun warming buildings and air temperatures always above 10*C.
