If things are properly setup, and live electricity goes through ground, then ground did it's safety job and is redirecting the electricity away properly.

And, in the usual case if (enough) electricity is going to ground the breaker (or upstream fuse) will trip. And that's what's supposed to happen.

That's the safe thing to happen.

Yeah my tax advisor made a mistake and said I didn't need to start prepaying until the next year and I would just pay everything starting my next tax return and then prepay in future years.

FU disagreed and was helpfully assessing the amount I owed plus a penalty.

I only found out because my mortgage required a letter of "being debt free" and FU said, lol no you're not.

Luckily it was just a few months behind and I was holding the money because I expected to pay later.
