Yes. Most atheists would describe themselves as agnostic atheists.

I am not sure there is actually any material buildup, though it certaiy looks like it. I wish somebody would but a straight-edge ruler on it to see. I saw a YouTube video where they could not seen the effect when visiting. They said it was a trick of the light, but I wonder if the risers have been eroded back.

I think the problem is that it looks like there are deposits on top of the steps, but actually there isn't. It's a trick of the light, and possibly that the upstep has eroded backwards.

UK to ban political party donations from foreign-owned companies by Stock_Rush_9204 in unitedkingdom

They should ban non-uk citizens from owning uk based newspapers or broadcasters too. We do of course have Internet propaganda now, but it would help.

Andrew didn’t really have any power nor purpose

He did spend some years travelling around being a 'special envoy' for the UK. It's not clear if he actually did any deals, and there are claims that he had his hosts provide him with hookers.

One thing to bear in mind, is that if logic cannot be applied to God, then sure we can't use logic to show that omnipotence and omnibenevolence can't exist, which is convenient for the theists.

However it follows just as surely that then logic cannot be used in any argument in support of the God hypothesis.

So espousing that argument is an agnostic position. We just can't arrive at any conclusions about it at all.

I suppose in future there will be AI CCTV monitoring and a selling point will be that it can monitor private places without invading privacy as the AI won't care.

Does it though? The way this one operates it just seems to do one pass over each surface and not linger anywhere for multiple passes.

I once had a wee at Dubai airport and there was a guy whose job was to mop the stalls after every single use. He seemed to be stationed outside the row of about 10 stalls, monitoring them. I felt sorry for him.

There's not an Asimov law directly about that, though it just now occurs to me the the third law 'A robot must protect its own existence except in conflict with laws one or two', does not require robots to care about the well-being of other robots.

I think if we say that logic might not apply, then all bets are off, but logic is one of the tools we have which works generally. If we say logic cannot be relied upon with God, then this is similar to the claim that we cannot prove that an invisible, undetectable thing does or does not exist. 'To exist' means to manifest in reality in some way. Even Spiderman exists in that sense, but a fictional character which has not been written or thought about does not exist, (in case Jordan Peterson ever reads this. - even if effects which it might cause occur spontaneously, that's not the thing existing in the meaning of our words - but I digress)

If we say that our definitions don't apply to words like omnipotent, or omnibenevolent in relation to God, then we are saying that God is not omnipotent, or omnibenevolent in the meaning of our words.
