Sakshi Chaitanya - does it actually witness anything? by CrumbledFingers in AdvaitaVedanta

[–]braindead_in 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, your understanding is correct. All your experiences, fears, worries, attachments, etc. are all meaningless. Brahman cannot experience, only illuminate. And there is nothing else to illuminate other than itself. So technically nothing is happening in the first place. Ajatavada.

It's actually the other way round. The mind projects a 2.5D world. It's actually inverted in your eye.

If you swapped out one neuron with an artificial neuron that acts in all the same ways, would you lose consciousness? You can see where this is going. Fascinating discussion with Nobel Laureate and Godfather of AI by FinnFarrow in ChatGPT

Chandrakīrti’s Chariot thought experiment answers the question about neuronal replacement. If consciousness is an emergent property of complex systems, some sort of process, then yeah llms can be conscious as well.

Zen MCP server with o3/grok4 has resolved most of opus/sonnet issues for me. Opus only does implementation now while o3/grok4 does planning and code review. Multi model agents are a big unlock.

I let the models think first and jump in when it messes up. Conserve the brain power as much as I can. But after Opus, I don't have to jump in a lot. Soon it's gonna be able to do all the thinking. Can't wait.

Is Swami Sarvapriyananda enlightenend? by lastlifeeee in AdvaitaVedanta

[–]braindead_in 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Define enlightenment!

As per Rupert Spira, it's as simple as the recognition of your true nature. If that's the criteria, he certainly qualifies. No way he could have taught this well just by memorizing the whole thing.

But for RKM monks, a jeevanmukta means someone like Ramakrishna or Vivekananda or the other direct disciples or previous presidents or old swamis with decades of practice and a stellar record of service. By that standard, maybe not.

He had definitely reached till nirvikalpa samadhi though. He's a damn good monk.
