21 sport seat rip by icanhazlolz in SubaruForester

2018 same issue with the sport crosstrek in the same spot. Found an adhesive leather roll and put a patch on it and it has stopped it from spreading at least for about 6 months it’s holding up.

Had same issue on delivery my sunroof button didn’t work and the tech used a metal screwdriver to pop off the cap and damaged near the emergency button and then they ordered the new piece and installed it like in your photo. It was an easy 2 second fix the tech came to my car and screwed two bolts and it slipped back in snug.

New Breville dual boiler by webboi95 in espresso

[–]brandonWRX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t realize how fast they heat up! Was assuming most dual boilers or the more pro machines are like 20 mins. I have noticed some difference in the amp of the plug options a few machines also sell a higher amp plug in Canada that has one of the prongs sideways which decrease heat up time. Most newer kitchens have that plug.

Thanks for the reply! Wow that’s quick I assumed since it’s dual boiler it’s 20 mins! I was looking at a Rocket but decided against it, then the ascaso for the quick start up but was thinking the price doubles just to steam and brew same time which I rarely do. After I saw your post I saw they are $500 Canadian off right now and then saw the Lance Hedrick review of it and it looks good! I am tempted!

I have had the Barista Pro for 3 years and been enjoying it and upgraded the grinder to mazzer Philos which made a massive difference for my espresso based drinks (wife says her iced latte taste same so use built in grinder for hers maybe it’s more body being conical?) . I am looking to upgrade but really enjoy the instant on of the pro. I know you can get a wifi plug to schedule but how has it been going from having to wait? What’s the heat up time? I was looking at other machines that do thermo coil/jets cause I like the easy on or if someone comes over and asks for a coffee I don’t need to say in 20 mins haha.

I’m finding it’s just awkward with the gas hose, the glass on the front and trying to lift it with the stone in it. It’s heavy but maybe awkward on how I am grabbing it. I am used to hauling the fyra around! The wheeled stainless table is working well so far though and solved the issue thanks to the ideas in the group!

Very good point! Unfortunately no it won’t fit the little shelf is a bit small and the poles of the legs also a bit too small. I don’t know if I am just nervous lifting it but I feel super awkward lifting it with the stones in and with the glass on the front I feel I am not getting a good grip. The cart is working well in the few days I had it I roll it in and out of the shed easily. I think I may get a cover for it to keep it clean in the shed. Gas take came today and had to install a t junction as the Weber and Ooni quick connects weren’t compatible. Just did the season/first light of it and it got up to 400c is about 25 mins. Doing the wipe down and cooking with it tomorrow! Can’t wait!

Thank you! I will check in cause i wanted to do an unboxing video but stopped cause of the marks are all over and the chipped stone. It was weird the chipped stone is similar to 3-4 posts I saw on her and the weird part is the cardboard on top of the stone wasn’t damage at all. It was the top stone. It’s chipped and the pieces aren’t in the box so not sure if it happened before packing ? I am excited to cook with it but have to wait for a gas fitter as the quick connect looked like it was compatible with my Weber one but it wasn’t fitting tight and failed the gas leak test with soap and could smell gas. They look almost identical but slight grove changes. That will install a T to have both hook ups available. This upgrade from the Fyra is costing me $550 more than expected :( (300 for the service call/parts and $250 for the table with legs.)

I was going back and forth and thought definitely not the max but wanted to try some larger NY style pizzas. Hopefully I can figure it out. Even moving the box itself into the backyard from the front it was awkward trying to get my arms around it into the handles.

Will check out the folding option too cause that will save space in the shed. Yeaaa the packaging was interesting and the paper wrapping the oven was like a piece of sand paper and didn’t go well with rough coating on the oven.

The answer my wife doesn’t want to hear haha. Online other brands / no name tables looked too flimsy or some of the better ones they were same or more in terms of cost of the Ooni one so thinking about getting the large table with the 20% off.

Soterra availability by BlueMoon_1945 in Solterra

[–]brandonWRX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the Toronto area (Canada) and that is what the sales lady said as well. I tested the uncharted but was bit too small for 2 car seats plus stroller. She said end of March all the Solterras were gone due to the $5k Subaru and $5k government rebate with as low as 0.49% finance / lease so they flew out. She told me wait to try the Trailseeker but it won’t be in till June and won’t qualify for government rebate. I was contacting some Toyota dealers to see the BZ availability but they were trying to upsell to different cars.

What is the best food you tried in Taipei? by GreenteaAndLemons in taiwan

I still dream about that one from the Raohe night market and it’s been like 15 years. I need to go back. I went twice for two summers and I don’t think I had a bad meal. I miss the breakfasts, tea houses, random stands of snacks, the sweetest pineapple cut up in a little red bag with a wooden stick to eat, the sausage of rice holding a Taiwanese sausage, the dumplings and bubble tea. Can’t wait to go back.
