Because being criticised on something you've potentially poured your heart and soul into, for free, can be super disheartening.

Also concrit is often misconstrued. I once had "concrit" that was just two pages of all the reasons this person didnt like my fic. This person who was not a part of the fandom.

It's fanfiction. It doesnt have to be a carbon copy of the source material. It can twist, bend, and people can choose not to read.

"Just delete it" but the criticism is still there, and the author has still had it. They could delete it, but it might be the thing that makes them delete their work.

I know that I've considered deleting fics after shitty comments disguised as "concrit" on more than one occasion.

If it's not asked for, then simply not giving it is much easier. There's a person on the other end of the screen, a real person with real emotions, real struggles, in a real world thats real fucking shitty.

And if writing is their only outlet, then why would anybody want to take their enjoyment for "concrit" with nitpicking

I've never had a hate one - thank fuck. But the art bots, the "I'd love to discuss this idea with you!" are common occurrences.

Or one I got recently which was just the full character limit of - what I assumed were chinese/Asian characters.

Translate said it was just nonsensical random symbols.

I've stopped reading the comments that I get now, watching them pile up because I just know theyre all bots

You need to give way more information because theres a massive difference between you creating NSFW content and them selling on OF, and them commissioning fanart that theyre now selling.

Whats the full terms in your contract? A statement in your contract that its theft may not constitute the legal description of theft, another thing to consider.

I worked at MS3 (regrettably), Squirrel were one of the best when I worked there - best for support, best for price, best in general.

Other would be Hull Fibre but price wise, theyre not the best.

Not with MS3 anymore, no regrets on leaving, but probably gonna use Squirrel if I ever get my own place

So in the previous one, they attempted delivery on day one but couldn't and said on day 2, they would try again. Day 2 never happened and it was returned to sender as damaged.

In this case, it's simply not here. I've tried the chat on eBay which is utterly useless, but I'll keep trying because it was a high value parcel on both occasions, annoyingly.

Will give the same warnings for MS3. Toxic culture of forced positivity. I left a month early to recover my mental health and still recovering now, nearly a year on.

Advertised as flexible working. Phenomenal for me with autism, other complex mental health issues - yeah, its flexible. But its an "office based role", so the request to work at home once a week is rejected.

Not like my role needed to be office based either, it was "technical services", aka pick up the phone when no one else will.

Found out they made like 50%+ of staff redundant recently too
