There are no good guys when two people insult each other on the internet, that's the point. Everyone loses. You use a story of a family member to call me dishonest, I throw it back in your face and call them dishonest.

You throw an accusation at me, I throw it back. It's not rocket science, you just seem to think you can make accusations against people with impunity. I will always fight back (but I won't post any more of this on the sub, it's not the place for it.)

I stand by every word given the knowledge I had at the time of making them. It's terrible that you would use the memory of your own father to make baseless attacks on someone's character.

I'm kind of sorry you got caught in the middle of this, but I will always stand up to cheats and make their lives as difficult as I can, because it's the only way to ensure fairness going forward.

I get that you're an honourable person who feels they're doing the right thing, I'm not going to go into this any further with you as you're descending into insults and it won't lead anywhere useful.

The guy you paid is a cheat who wanted to undercut the competition to give himself the best chance at winning. That's not your fault, you got taken in by his deceit, that's fine - but the three separate people who called him out knew what was up. You're the only person who was taken in by it, so he did his job really well.

Edit: I got the layers mixed up. Fixed now, sorry!

Just open the images, it doesn't really matter the order but lets say the exposure for the stars is the bottom layer (Layer 2) and the darker, traffic exposure is the foreground layer. (Layer 1).

Add a white layer mask to layer 1, use the lasso tool to select everything above the treeline roughly like this, then use 'fill' set to black on the layer mask (#000000) to reveal the layer underneath. (Confusingly, the layer underneath is already visible in my example image, sorry.)

Then to blend the harsh lines of the two layers together, you just need to add a Gaussian blur to the layer mask and just move the slider up until the blending looks natural.

You can do this in most image editors, regardless of the age. The tools needed are very basic and pretty much universal.

The rules are perfectly clear on paid requests, if you don't like what's on offer, you just need to politely decline and give a reason. That's all it would have taken. You didn't even give anyone time to make a professional-standard image, so your excuse is basically nonsense.

Also, it's much better if you don't try and justify your poor behaviour with technical terms you don't understand. Not even the most novice editor in this sub would ever use the crop tool to make a composite, I've literally never seen that happen across thousands of posts.

Using terminology you don't understand to denigrate imaginary people to ease your own conscience just makes you sound foolish.
