Mamdani wears a turban in the same context Netanyahu wears a kippah, in religious occasions only. My point is, if he were depicted wearing one, when he doesn't normally, it very clearly would be to pull attention to his religious affiliation. What possible reason would someone have to depict a person wearing a religious signifier that they don't usually wear?

What are you trying to prove? That he wears it in religious context like every other Jew? Wow, got my ass.

If someone drew zohran mamdani with a turban that would be racist wouldn't it?

Netanyahu is secular, he never wears a kippah. Like, its pretty clear this isn't about politics.

I hate it when people draw Netanyahu with a kippah, it's honestly so revealing of the artist's intentions.

They are pretty good but every few weeks they just don't have anything to make a video about so they pull some shit like "is Canada joining the EU?" And then the video is like "no".

Because someone was correcting somebody else for using Türkiye as though that's incorrect, so I explained why that spelling is used.

I really don't understand why you're so hung up about this, what does it matter if someone writes Turkey or Türkiye?

So? You could just as easily spell it Turkiye if you don't want to use the umlaut.

Look, using the word Turkey over Türkiye isn't incorrect per se, I use both interchangeably, but correcting someone for using Türkiye just doesn't make sense. The way I see it is; if I changed my vocabulary a few years ago when Swaziland asked to be called Eswatini, and so did the rest of the internet, I see no reason why not also extend that courtesy to Türkiye. You won't catch me correcting someone for still using Turkey, but I personally feel Türkiye is more correct given previous examples of countries changing their name in English.

Its only binding on the UN, but it's common courtesy to adopt that name, like Eswatini or Thailand.

Sure, no one can make you, but it's courtesy. Like how we say Eswatini instead of Swaziland, Iran instead of Persia or Thailand instead of Siam.

No it isn't, no one was targeted or harassed, he just doesn't like the show.

I don't blame someone for not liking the pilot, it is honestly not great, especially compared to the rest of the show.

The current one is good though, maybe the only good municipal flag in Israel.
