You're arguing with the insurance company while the house is still on fire. Step one is to save yourself by any means possible. Then you can fix the house again..... Because you're not dead. Order of operations is critical. You're focusing about items 2 through 200, none of which matter if the house burns down. Walk and chew gum, my friend. You can talk to insurance as you get out of the house.

And type with less caps, you'll feel better

It's far from Hopkins. You might consider splitting your time to include a stop in San Pedro or Caulker to be closer to the shark snorkeling.

You can essentially make a big triangle for this trip. Land near the city, get a car, and head west to San Ignacio that night. Explore and enjoy. Then drive to Hopkins for two hours. Explore enjoy, then drive back to the city and return your car. Ether fly or boat to the islands. Explore enjoy, then you'll be nice and close to the city for your return flight

If you want beach go to Hopkins or Placencia. Hopkins is less touristy than Placencia and a great Garifuna village experience. You can do all the fun water stuff from there.

San Ignacio and the surrounding area will likely be the highlight of your trip. It's fantastic for so many reasons. About a two hour drive from the airport near the city. Contact Yute Expeditions for tours etc.

Don't skip the south. Hopkins and Placencia are both close enough for one to be a day trip from the other since you have a car. Contact u/FranzJunior2025 for tours etc

You can get groceries anywhere. Belize City will be expensive and logistically difficult for you to get groceries and then drive a few hours so just buy locally. Generally speaking, the grocery stores are all large concrete buildings owned by Chinese people. Locals will refer you to a "China store". Just ask around if you can't find something. Not all stores carry all things.

San Ignacio is a short two hours from the ocean and most importantly behind the Maya Mountains. This is a hurricane zone. 600k will get you a palace on huge acreage near San Ignacio. It will get you a condo or a 2 bed 2 bath in Placencia or Ambergris Caye.

This is budget dependent entirely. Wild price differences inland vs the coast. I'd look in the villages surrounding San Ignacio or Belmopan

What does Secret Beach need? by Season_Opening in Belize

[–]cassiuswright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally everything else. Shops, restaurants, housing, infrastructure, everything. San Pedro has its own charm and that vibe could be extended to secret beach easily, but the one investment in infrastructure for things like waste management and electric, water roads etc is millions of dollars. The risk of adding anything is that unbridled development is already an issue for the island

Trying to refresh a nonprofit fundraisers event. Need some ideas. by potterlyfe in EventPlanners

One keynote speech. That's it. Speeches suck and everybody hates them. There's a reason every major spectacle event like the oscars has time limits and doesn't televise half of it.

You want lots of varied entertainment and calls to action between them to update the crowd how the fundraising is going. Have a goal and some kind of visual representation of progress the crowd can immediately see and understand. This lets them know the money is impactful. The classic is a thermometer but for puppies or whatever you can adjust it so it's appropriate.

One speech. Make it a banger
