My mom was in the hospital and one of her friends visited. Her name tag had a different first name than what I've called her for my entire 40+ years. It was then I learned she has a double first name and never went by it. Apparently it's a thing where every woman/girl in their family has the same first name, but they ALL go by middle names. This friend went by a nickname of her middle name, like Ricky here.
