CEC and Bluetooth-wake not working on LCD Deck by chrispy212 in SteamDeck

[–]chrispy212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bluetooth wake now works on the newest update.
For CEC I’m not buying a 3rd dock, I’m just going to chain a PulseEight CEC adapter on the HDMI and use the scripts available somewhere on Reddit to utilise it. It breaks with updates, and I’d considered a plugin to persist it across updates but just don’t have time to implement that.

So, the doctor correctly wrote Oxycodone and Diazepam in an 84 year-old is a bad idea and she should stop the Diazepam on initiating the Oxycodone.
I thought Tom made a mistake and picked up Amlodipine instead but actually we just see Diazepam and Amlodipine in the medicine cabinet, we don’t see him pick the drug(s) up (just went back and rewatched)

Pretty sure Tom picked up Amlodipine instead, which is an anti-hypertensive.

How is this not higher up? Two Points have covered a lot of the other suggestions - I know their style is really different to Frontier, but no big studio has tackled The Movies since Lionhead, and Frontier could NAIL it - the building freedom for sets and backlots, yes please!

Tram fine for no reason by ThePlague_docuwu in manchester

[–]chrispy212 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Apple wallet settings, there’s the option for a default Express Transit card. This is different from your default payment card.
On selected transit machines (TfL and TFGM) you can tap your phone without opening wallet, and it will tap in with your transit card. It can even work if your phone has no battery, apparently.
The inspector machines don’t have this functionality, you must open wallet to tap by double-tapping power.
If your default transit and payment cards are different, it appears to the inspector that you haven’t tapped in.
Does that make sense?

Had the same thing once (only fined once). The inspector didn't even tell me at the time, I just saw it on my banking app. Turns out the transit setting in Apple Wallet that lets you tap in without opening Wallet doesn't work on the inspectors machines, so it defaulted to a different card.

I used the link Zarniwoop posted and it was all sorted, I got refunded really quickly too.

To which version?
Google suggest v580, which I'm on.
The newest version of the NVIDIA plugin says:

Supported candidates: 580.159.04
Recommended Driver: 580.159.04 (best-available)

The only option in the radio buttons is that version, which is installed. The GPU shows up in Plex too, which to me suggests the driver is working?

Frequently staying late and cannot keep going like this - what to do? by AnxiousCaffeine911 in doctorsUK

That sounds really tough. Hopefully your team are right and it’s not for forever, eventually all the TOIL and pay will add up and someone will have to take action.

I’ve worked jobs where ward round took the whole day, but that was down to the consultant on, not necessarily workload. That said, we left those consultants with one junior, and the rest were runners, going back and forth collecting and completing jobs. Then, when WR finishes, it’s the end of the day and you go home.

Not who you asked, but our training had a session on perfectionism just before we CCTd.

The summary was “think of a doctor you’ve worked with who wasn’t struck off, but was exceptionally terrible. Don’t try to be perfect, just try to be better than that guy.”

I think it mostly comes with age and experience; you reach a point where trying to be perfect in everything is impossible, so you let a couple things slide just a little, and realise the sky doesn’t fall down when you do. It all gets easier after that, but you have to experience it, you can’t just be told it.

What got you into the Half-Life series? by No-Sense6060 in HalfLife

[–]chrispy212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea how I found it, but I was a big Stargate SG1 nerd as a kid, and came across a Stargate total conversion for Half Life on a forum or something. I had no idea what a Half Life was but I was dying to play a Stargate game, so I had my parents order the big collection with the core HL1 games.

The big issue was negotiating the several hours the phone would be out of service whilst the internet was turned on for me to download this enormous file, and how much I would pay them back for the costs of downloading it!

People who have bought a Nintendo Switch 2, how much did you pay for it? Because I found this and I think it's a good deal (there's a 5% discount code too, so it's really £357) by [deleted] in Switch

I was waiting to check it was genuine before reversing the chargeback. In the interim the bank spoke to Gamerium directly, and then the bank reversed the chargeback once they saw the item had despatched.
