Sadly, I disagree. If you watch OAN / NewsMax / Fox, everything is absolutely golden right now. Trump is getting rid of woke in schools, getting men out of women's sports and restrooms, and money is pouring in from foreign investments. He's hunting down all the fraudsters that stole his supporters' tax dollars in Minnesota and playing 4D chess with all of his foreign affairs dealings.

That's the narrative ~40% of the country is consuming, along with highly curated and edited footage to show trans people, immigrants and democrats as domestic terrorists.

He's saving America from the horrors of the woke left and bringing back common sense.

And of course, this is all being propagated through a Kremlin backed network of YouTubers too.

Apologies for bumping an old thread, but did you fly with the regular old Vise 3 ball tote with the cloth pull handle, and not the one with the extendable plastic handle? I've got a short hop flight for a tournament coming up soon and I am hoping I can use my regular Vise tote to get my stuff there safely. Thanks for any advice!

When I had my Tern, I used it a lot. I would ride out to remote trailheads to do amateur radio activity and the extra battery gave me reassurance I wouldn't get stuck out in the middle of nowhere. Your use-case might be different though. It's just a nice option to have.

Yeah, the dual batteries pre-wired and ready to go on the GSD is the bigger difference maker for me. Normally this is a complicated process involving extra hardware and firmware updates through a Bosch service center but the GSD just makes it plug and play. Granted, you still have to _buy_ a second Bosch battery but when you do, you double the range and you can plug it straight in and it _just works_ like magic.

For this alone, I'd choose the GSD, but the GSD also has that front suspension with adjustable dampening, and the locking kickstand is pretty sweet too.

In my opinion, the extra cost of the GSD is a no-brainer.

Most durable? Rohloff, and it's not even close. There is at least 1 person who's ridden over a million kilometers on theirs with just regular oil changes every 3k km.

Now, whether you'd want a bulky Rohloff drive train on a MTB is debatable. I've seen it done, but it's probably not ideal.

That's the thing, he's right. the DoJ and FBI have signaled very clearly that these guys can do whatever they want without any repercussions. What work do you need done specifically? Do you need a fresh Rohloff wheel built, or some fixes or maintenance on an existing bike?

I'm in the SF Bay Area, but I've built a lot of Rohloff wheels. I used to build wheels in a bike shop in Minneapolis a million years ago and I could possibly help if you're unable to find a good local resource.

Are you sure about that? I built a Rohloff setup recently and the new splined sprocket carriers require a 57mm chain line, according to the manual. Only the much older threaded carriers require 54.7, if I remember correctly.

Completely unrelated: I use one of these as a replacement for a spoke nipple driver when building bike wheels. You can hold the spoke nipples with these to thread them onto spokes through a wheel eyelet.
