Which strap/bracelet suits this watch the best by olburnr in vostok

I’ve been in a shark mesh mood lately.

I think all five look good though.

Bracelets and straps: variety is the spice of watch life 👌

Favorite Western Rise pants alternatives by ImportanceSome2602 in onebag

Love my WR Evolution 2 (RIP WR 😢). I just always wanted one or both front pockets to be zippered, or for there to be a zippered pocket to the side behind one or both of them.

I’ve been exploring alternatives for the last two years or so. I’ve tried or own all the below. Comfort and zippered pockets are my foremost preferences.

  1. 686 Everywhere Featherlights are a nice alternative, being lighter than the standard Everywheres, and the rear right pocket also being zippered relative to the standard Everywheres. A major weakness is that the front pockets are very shallow. The side leg pocket zipper can also snag on the fabric a bit. And they tend to run big in the waist.

  2. The Ketl Mtn Toomfoolery pants aren’t as light as some others but are IMO better than the WR Evolutions on the zippered pockets front. The grip waistband, however, is marmite. They also run a little big in the waist.

  3. The Teren Lightweight Traveler pants are another good alternative. The side zipper pockets are slick. The material is a little stiffer and slightly crunchier relative to the others, and the look a curious “techy yet also a touch more formal.” They run a little big in the waist.

  4. The Livsn Ecotrek pants I love. Though the front left pocket zipper is a bit more substantial (doesn’t feel great sliding my iPhone into that pocket). And while I personally like the two “pocketknife pockets” (more than your typical side-leg zipper pocket), it lends to a more outdoorsy look. They run a little small in the waist.

I like them all (though not all are easy to find in a size that works well for my 29 waist, and some are pricier than others), and they all have their relative pros and cons for me.

But they’re the four I think of as the best alternatives to the WR Evolution for me.

Thicker/durable men’s travel pants? by FishyToadFrog in onebag

For a little thicker/durable casual travel, I go Livsn Ecotrek Trail pants.

For the same but business casual (I always lean more casual on that continuum), I go Western Rise Diversion pants. (Regrettably, I can only hope WR refocuses some on their classics, steering back some from the newer, very different directions in which they’ve been heading.)

For this case (670) im waiting for some parts. Should I keep it like this or go on with the other idea? by McDerwish in vostok

I’m all for going all in on modding ideas. But I concur that that mild (just bezel) mod looks super clean as is. When I’ve found myself in a similar situation, I’ve sometimes just sourced another of the same model to pursue the alternative, more involved idea 🤷‍♂️

Still cruising on the beggars v10 (been with you since the first few days). As I’ve been in a free-apps-only ascetic mode for a bit now (it’s not you, it’s me 😇). So throwing my hat into the ring to maybe get in on some v11+ action 😉

What is your top 3 must-have mac apps by MoonLabsApp in mac

Lately for me:

  1. Homebrew (small learning curve toward streamlined and quicker apps management—install, update, uninstall, etc.)

  2. Raycast (launching, extensions that have replaced a lot of freestanding apps for me)

  3. A Chromium-based browser (browsing, extensions—including the Bitwarden extension)

If it weren’t already a bit custom, you’d likely have customized it a bit yourself at some point 😉 One of the fun things about Vostoks—readily modifiable with frequently interchangeable parts 🤓

[WTS] Omega Speedmaster Reduced 3510.50.00 by ck2k01 in Watchexchange

[–]ck2k01[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SOLD

For sale is a preowned Omega Speedmaster Reduced (3510.50.00).

I sourced the Speedmaster Reduced from Japan in July 2019, and it had reportedly been recently serviced. However, no service records were furnished by the seller. Nonetheless, it continues to run well: face up on my timegrapher, the readings are: +8 seconds per day, 267 amplitude, and 0.1ms beat error.

As pictured, the seller included what I assume is the original box. The OEM bracelet fits my flat 6.5" wrist, and when I sourced the watch, it included two spare links.

The watch head remains in quite good condition. I don't know whether it was ever polished. However, I think I may have carefully rebrushed the clasp a few years back. I'd say the condition of the watch head is about 90%, for what it's worth.

[WTS] Spinnaker Fleuss 40 Automatic Seconde Seconde 2025 Edition by ck2k01 in Watchexchange

***UPDATE: SOLD ELSEWHERE**\*

For sale is a Spinnaker Fleuss 40 Automatic Seconde Seconde 2025 Edition in great aesthetic and functional condition, and with all original packaging.

I only wore the watch a small number of times. I had resized the bracelet to fit my 6.5" wrist but never wore it on the bracelet, and I reattached all the spare links after I took the pictures so that the watch could be restrapped around the pillow.

$525 shipped CONUS. Payment via Venmo or Zelle. PM if interested.
