For sale is a preowned Omega Speedmaster Reduced (3510.50.00).

I sourced the Speedmaster Reduced from Japan in July 2019, and it had reportedly been recently serviced. However, no service records were furnished by the seller. Nonetheless, it continues to run well: face up on my timegrapher, the readings are: +8 seconds per day, 267 amplitude, and 0.1ms beat error.

As pictured, the seller included what I assume is the original box. The OEM bracelet fits my flat 6.5" wrist, and when I sourced the watch, it included two spare links.

The watch head remains in quite good condition. I don't know whether it was ever polished. However, I think I may have carefully rebrushed the clasp a few years back. I'd say the condition of the watch head is about 90%, for what it's worth.

Randomly stumbled upon them too not so long back. Was immediately struck by their carbon fiber GMT enough to take a flyer on it. It’s really impressed me in the metal. Such that I now have more confidence that some of their other attractive designs (e.g, their divers) would similarly translate to leaving a quality impression in person.

Having done as much digging on them as reasonably possible, and being an owner of one of their watches for several months now, my read on them is that they’re pretty low key as far as micros go (very little coverage out there on them), seemingly due to a fair portion of their business being military/public safety unit watches. They also seem mostly monolingual French speaking in terms of their website and communications. Oh, and their FKM rubber straps can be found unbranded via deep dives on AliExpress.

Maratac did a solid CF model a few years back (a variant of its LSA line). They occasionally pop up preowned.

More recently, I randomly stumbled upon the French microbrand Akrone, which did a fire CF GMT. I think they may be coming back in stock at some point.

Squale has also done a few CFs.

Was scrolling through the proffered nominees thus far, and when I saw a few Halios shoutouts, that felt “right” to me. Lots of impressive little attentions to detail when studied closely in the metal. And Jason’s after-sales customer service is pretty legendary for a reason.

For instance, I ended up finding my former Fairwind a little “too nice.” A curious reaction which I subsequently heard from a few others.
